Pregnancy and thrombophilia - anyone any experience?

I'm 6W4d pregnant after over 18 months of trying. We were being looked at as unexplained infertility, and as part of the tests and case workup they ran every test under the sun on me.

I came back as positive for inherited thrombophilia, with the MTHFR variation which is basically a blood based disease that can cause blood clots. I had no idea we carried this in the family, but now explains the strokes and early heart attacks in various family members.

I'm now bricking it as I'm pregnant as the implications can be miscarriage, pre term labour and slow / poor fetal growth, pre eclampsia and hemorrhaging after birth, especially after a C section.

As soon as I found out I was up the duff I saw my Ob-Gyn and gave her all the test results to figure out what's next. At the time the scan looked ok (altho it was so early all you could see was a blob!) My next scan is in a week and half and at that point if everything is ok, we're basically going to discuss an action and care plan which will probably result in me being filed with a doctor under the high risk specialist section.

I'm assuming they'll either keep more of an eye on me, measuring blood pressure etc, and / or put me on thinners / keep me on baby aspirin (which I'm taking as a crappy half measure) or god knows what. So, wanted to find out if anyone has experienced anything similar, and if so, what the course of action was?
