Hi, anyone else had this. 3rd baby (have two healthy boys) and I'm only 5 weeks pregnant, I have woken up to the most painful cramps ever! In my uterus area and can feel them shooting through to my bum sometimes as well. They are painful, no bleeding yet though. I feel like if I phone the doctors they won't be able to do a lot at this stage anyway, as it's so early. I guess I'm hoping that someone else has had this and can reassure me???! X

Hi OP yes I had terrible pains with my DD only a few weeks in. I said to my DP I should go to the hospital they were that bad (I didn't but that's how much they hurt).

Just laid in bed bf the 6mo DD now Smile

Try not to worry, I'm sure it's just everything stretching and doing what it needs to do x

Thank you Babyon... I do remember having pains with my first two but not this bad. But I am sure I have read somewhere like these pains can be worse with each subsequent pregnancy. But I literally can't move without a sharp shooting pain which makes me all hot and feel faint. Sorry I know I am feeling truly sorry for myself today!!!
Glad yours is going well now :))) xx

I had this with my 2nd and turned out to be a cyst, apparently very common in the early weeks of pregnancy, by my 20 weeks scan ( I didn't have the 12 week ) it had gone.

Don't worry I remember the baby brain! I've got 'utterly exhausted sleep deprived brain' now! Take care I'm sure everything will be fine x

I'm 6 weeks and am having terrible cramps which have me doubled over and sweating. They found a 4cm cyst and said it could be this or wind or constipation or a mixture of all of them! Been changing what I eat at night as that's when I usually feel the pain - I wake up at clockwork at 1am, 3am and 5am in agony! Know eating earlier and less and think it helps a bit - still get the cramps, but have lessened. Have you considered whether it's constipation or wind? Fingers crossed it goes away for you!

Hi writtengems, it's awful isn't it. I was half way through my cereal and they started, I literally couldn't move and when I did manage to get up I went hot and felt like I was going to pass out. So frightening. The pain is a full ache now quite low down but every now and then it shoots through from my bum!! I guess it could be trapped wind but I don't feel bloated or anything? I haven't had any bleeding and really hope I don't (obviously). I am trying not to worry but it's really hard when it's so early on x
