Yes, I had both my babies there. Absolutely couldn't fault the care I got. Particularly with my dd as they saved both our lives. I had 2 sections there, 1 crash, 1 planned. Dd was in scbu which was also brilliant.

I can't remember anything particularly pleasant about the food, but isn't that the case with all NHS hospitals now? You pay for parking there. At the time I was there, dh could get payment waived, but I that's not the case now. You can get a frequent visitor pass for £13.

Thanks. I'm having a planned section in just 4 weeks time. and I'm worried about every little thing. I had DD in a different city so I've gone for my closest hospital.

Sorry posted too soon.

DH has said he will bring things if I don't like the food. £13 doesn't sound to bad. DD will be at school so DH is coming after drop off then leaving to pick her up and then come back after tea for an hour or so. so I will have to find out what's best parking wise for him.

Ime its a good hospital. Between the 4 of us, we've had 5 lots of surgery there and numerous a&e visits. Always excellent care with no problems.

Good luck with your section, I'm sure all will be fine.
