Hi Ladies,

This is the first time I've ever added a thread. I'm 9.5 weeks pregnant (total shock) with baby number 3. I live in SE London and my local hospitals are a joke! Queen Elizabeth (where both ds and dd were born), Lewisham and Darenth Valley. What are your views on St.Thomas' and Kings College?

I'm also in SE London - why aren't you considering lewisham? I looked at the same options as you and it was by far the best in my opinion. The birth centre is lovely, it's been recently refurbed and the reviews/ratings you see online are all from before the upgrade. The labour ward is also lovely and is undergoing a trial for allowing dads to stay overnight (most others don't allow this) and has pools etc available just like the birth centre. My hypnobirthing teacher also works as a doula and hated lewisham but raves about it now and said the reviews couldn't be further from the truth.
