I've just been to see the midwife and the baby is currently transverse - head on right hand side, bum on left. This is my second baby, and I'm 33+4. I know there is plenty time for the baby to turn, and that second babies tend not to engage until later, but does anyone have suggestions or tips on how to encourage the baby to get head down?
I've read on a "spinning babies" website that I can get down on all fours with bum in air and that can help. However, I'm really struggling with chronic heartburn so that move isn't my favourite... The same website also suggested shining a torch up myself (all night long) to get the baby to head for the light. Or getting someone to shout up a cardboard tube up my...tube. I don't think that website was a spoof... I may yet resort to the torch trick...
But any other suggestions?
Thank you!
