Hi all,

Wondering if anyone has any ideas on some issues I have been having regarding a missed period. My husband had a vasectomy in 2007 after our daughter was born. However, I am over a week late, but I am having af cramps everyday and it feels like af is literally about to start any second, but never does. I have been very tired, I am ready for bed by 9pm and usually I am a night owl. I have had headaches in the past, but they seem more frequent now. Yesterday while I was in a store, I had a headache to the point I was dizzy, faint and kinda slurred my words... kinda like low blood sugar, but I am not diabetic. It's basically this.. am I crazy or could their be a chance after all this time something could have changed on his end. He did the follow up tests after he got it done, but has never gone back for any further checks. Just because we didn't think we needed to, since the after tests came up neg for swimmers. I really don't want to test, because I will have wasted money being silly. I am really not sure. Any ideas?

Well, the cramps are how my pregnancy started...swollen breasts as well, totally felt like period. A test doesn't waste that much money when it comes down to being sure about something like this!

Oh bad wolf, this mightn't be what you want to hear but I have to agree with dayspringjubilee, ghost cramps were the first indication I had that I was pregnant. They went on for days and were quite full on. Later I discovered that they signalled my womb enlarging as the embryo kind of bedded down.
It's a hard situation, but I reckon the best thing is probably to take a test now. It might be negative and we might be jumping the gun, but if it's positive, the sooner you know the more time you have to really think about what you want to do and of course to talk to your husband. Good luck and hope you're feeling OK.

I called my Dr's office and said I can do a walk in at 1pm, but I do have other appts for my other children this afternoon. So I could wait an hour to see if they can squeeze me in. I keep thinking maybe I am wrong and it's something simple like a UTI or other infection. But I am not having any of those symptoms, just the ones I listed above. Hoping to find out today would be great.
