After much thought and discussion with consults due to medical issues im opting to bottle feed. Looking around there is so many different bottles to pick from are there any you would particularly recommend over others?

I would recommend NOT using the Medela Calma bottles for formula feeding. They are great with breastmilk or pre-made liquid formula, but if you make the formula up from powder it really clogs up the little air vents and makes the bottle unuseable

We used mam, avent ones are also popular. If you are ff from birth I would also highly recommend the tommee tippee perfect prep machine. It's expensive but makes life so much easier. I couldn't live without mine!

Ooh we're getting the prep machine, it seems to come highly recommended!

Look at tommee tippee and then get a perfect prep too saves loads of time

We have just switched from Avent to Dr Browns. They were no more expensive than Avent and I find them easy to clean. We use Aptamil comfort formula (colic) and the tommie tippee perfect prep machine and have no trouble making up bottles. Current guidelines if you choose to follow them say to make each bottle up fresh (but its a judgement call and I have friends that don't). They can leak if you shake them but we swirl the bottle and that does it for us. I might have ordered Nuk if I had heard of them before though!
