Do I have bad indigestion or could this be it???

I'm 39+4

Had a pretty hefty meal at 5pm... Ate a bit too much probably. And it was quite a rich meal of prawn/chorizo spaghetti (all thoroughly cooked to paranoid pregnancy guidelines!) Haven't really eaten quite that much in some time and tummy felt very full. This subsided and I went to bed around 7.

Have been waking up roughly every 30 mins with stomach ache. Stomach ache/crampy feeling is getting more intense and is quite high up on my bump.

However, it's not coming in waves or contractions... It's constant. I've done a few poo's (sorry) in the last few hours but they were normal (ie no diarrhoea). I simply can't get confortable in any position in bed because my stomach just aches and feels crampy.

I think probably this is just indigestion but a part of me is wondering if this is an early sign of labour.... What do you think??

And should I just take a couple of paracetamol and go to bed?

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Oh Christ... What if it's actual food poisoning from the prawn/chorizo???

My labour felt like regular period pains that were regular & intensified in strength. But I did have vomiting & diarrhoea in labour (just later on). Don't know if everyone is different though, sorry!

Really impossible to say!

Get as much sleep as you can .

Indigestion doesn't quite feel as you describe I don think

I think this might just be bad wind. Blush

Not getting any kind of ebbing or flowing of the pain. I am getting braxton hicks but the pain is fairly consistent throughout the tightening and between tightenings. Plus the pain is in the upper half of my bump where I imagine all my intestines are squashed up.

I literally can't get comfortable, just perched on the edge of the sofa wondering what to do next!!

I've not had any nausea or diarrhoea yet. Unless that's yet to come.

The pain has started to radiate around my ribs a bit.... Just seems a bit too high up to be labour pain, no?

(Clearly I'm praying this IS the early signs of labour!!!)

Sounds more along lines of tummy grumbling than labour to me. I'd take a couple of paracetamol & try & sleep, you'll wake for labour if it is it!

I think you're right Tricia. Just popped 2 pills and off to bed to try and ignore it. DP is asleep so will fart to my hearts content! Grin

Grin Good luck, hopefully you'll have news of a quick labour & bonny baby in the morning!
