STUPID way to "register" your pregnancy!

I don't know if any one else is familiar with this but when I had my first babby you just went to GP and they arranged your care and had a chat with you and it was all pretty quick and there was a lot of support.

So I went to my GP and got told they don't do it anymore, I was given a number to call were you leave a voice mail with your name, DOB, and a contact number and someone to contact you in about 10 days.

It just seems stupid to be very detached. I have no idea how far along I am, my HG is terrible and I would really just like to get this thing moving now but I still after 2 weeks don't even have a midwife or health worker!!!! STUPID

I would see the GP if your suffering.

If it's making you ill then just book an appointment with your GP.

Most of us don't need to see a GP, so it would just cause more waiting times for those who do. Like you. You need an appointment to talk about your HG.
Do you have no idea at all when your last period was? Do you think time is running out for your 12 weeks scan - or you might have missed it?

Oh no,no,no,that's not very personal! I would absolutely hate that especially if it were my first baby.

Juneavrile, I don't know my last period because they are not regular, had a lot of stress like moving house ect so I never gave it a thought, I could be 8 weeks, I could be 12, I have no idea but I really want to get it sorted!!!

I have seen my GP twice now regarding how sick I have been and have had my medication changed twice but I still know absoloutly nothing about my pregnancy and it is really stressing me out. I hope they get back to me soon, its the not knowing I am finding really stressfull.
