Dont know the answer... but good luck!

BrucieTheShark · 15/10/2014 18:43

Ring em now! Is it your first?

FannyFifer · 15/10/2014 18:44

I think I would be ringing quite soon.

MrsKCastle · 15/10/2014 18:45

Err I would ring before the bath if I were you...

How long have they been going now?

FloralFuckery · 15/10/2014 18:47

This was me in my first labour, I had a baby an hour later! Gooooooo & ring, but goooooooooooo.

fusspot66 · 15/10/2014 18:49

Ring the midwife!

daholster · 15/10/2014 18:56

Yes ring! Though I was told to wait until I couldn't talk through them... But that didn't take long - first labours are not always long! Good luck!!! Exciting times! Baby will be here soon, it's amazing, enjoy the cuddles! Thanks

YourKidsYourRulesHunXxx · 15/10/2014 18:58

Just ring them. They can either tell you yes, come in, or no :)

wingcommandergallic · 15/10/2014 18:58

If those are regular then that's established labour. Impressed you can type still.

YourKidsYourRulesHunXxx · 15/10/2014 18:59

Btw, congrats. I get all nostalgic and gooey when I think about my labour. I'm jealous of you Smile Flowers

sunnyrosegarden · 15/10/2014 19:09

No harm ringing, although mine settled a bit first time round and I managed at home for a few hours longer.

Good luck!

ThinkIveBeenHacked · 15/10/2014 19:47

Haha I had to stop mid typing in order to get through the pain.

I had a bath, now just got period pains. Had paracetamol too. Its dc2.

DC1 - woke to three mins contractions and went in a few hours later and was 2cm Sad and ended up being in labour 24 hrs and needing forceps delivery and the drip. Boo.

Dh has made my tea so am having that now (while Im more dull ache than painful cxns). Fingers crossed!

Am 38+5

Oh I really hope it doesn't take that long this time! Enjoy your tea, hopefully your little one won't keep you on tenterhooks Smile

ThinkIveBeenHacked · 15/10/2014 20:40

Right, everythig has really eased off Sad

I can feel the head pressing down but no pain anymore.

Ah it's just kidding you. Hope things go well for you when labour does kick in properly.

hartmel · 16/10/2014 03:56

Fingers crossed you will be cuddling your baby very soon..
I think we have the same due date! Oct 25th..

ThinkIveBeenHacked · 16/10/2014 07:05

Yep we do Hartmel Grin do you know what you are having?

Pain free all night which is frustrating but at least I got a decent nights sleep.

Am at the MWs today so will tell her what happened and see what she says.......do you think she might check my cervix if I ask?

BrucieTheShark · 16/10/2014 10:43

Don't assume your 2nd will be like your first.

My mum had 4, all took ages, so I thought I'd be the same and DC1 confirmed this.

My first was officially an 18 hr labour, though they only start that from when it's really sore so really it was longer. Like you I tolerated lots of pain all through the night and turn up to be told I was 2cm.

DC2 - period pains then a bit more painful by about 6:30pm. Baby arrived at 8:30pm! Lucky I was persuaded to go to hospital - I was adamant they would just send us home, but in fact had to deliver in side room.

hartmel · 16/10/2014 14:06

I'm expecting a girl this time!
Either I over did it yesterday or things are gearing up! Was awake till 2 am because of contractions, needed to wee a lot and felt like water might go anytime.
Played soccer with DH, took some outside pictures of DS and DH and went for walk with DS.
Everything has eased up again.

On day 4 of feeling like this seeing my doc today I will just ask him to check if my cervix is still closed or not

Mmolly2013 · 16/10/2014 15:12

my contractions were 3 mins apart from 4 cms onwards so really it could mean your close or no where near it
