Hi I've been married a year and we are both 41. We both have children between 19-8 from our previous marriages. My husband has had a vesectomy and we are trying to decide if he should have a reversal. My questions are... Are we too old? Has anyone had success after 6 years (vesectomy) of a reversal? X

Hi I'm on my second marriage and although we didn't have to deal with a vasectomy reversal we did have a DC together. He will be 1 tomorrow and I'm 43 (we have 4DCs between us 10,12,14,16) and he's the best thing ever, go for it and good luck

If you google, you can find success stories from much longer intervals.

But the quoted success rates in articles about reversals vary wildly (from 50% to over 90%) but some count presence of live sperm in ejaculate and others a subsequent pregnancy.

Have you considered checking your ovarian reserve before he goes for an operation?
