Anyone used a chiropractor during pregnancy?

I'm considering going to one as I seem to have a spasm in my glute, pin and needles in my hips and thigh and muscle tension all on one side.
I went to one previously for a similar issue and it really helped but everyone looks at me in horror when I suggest going in pregnancy even though it seems to be safe.

Anyone else been?

I've been seeing an osteopath for my SPD, similar to a chiropractor really. It has really helped!

I would phone up the chiropractor/check their website to find out whether they are used to dealing with pregnant women. Obviously mention how far along you are when you book. I'm sure you'll be fine!

I saw a chiropractor in the middle of my pregnancy with dd1. They took out a panel on the bed for my bump to go through when I lay down on my front and had a roll up cushion to go under my boobs! There were certain things they wouldn't do but it really helped.

I continued to see mine every 4 weeks as normal and am now 36 weeks pregnant. Let the chiropractor know you're pregnant as there are a couple of things they then won't do. As bump grew she got an adapted bed to lie on. Couldn't have done without the treatments

Im seeing one, despite having been a bit skeptical before hand and i dont know how id have managed my pregnancy without! i was in really unbearable pain from about 12 weeks and my mw said, it might just stop it from getting worse. It gradually got much much better and although im pretty sore now at 39 weeks i only stopped working 2 weeks ago. Just ensure that they are experienced at treating pregnant women.
But if youd had problems before, theyre very likely to get worse in pregnancy because of the extra strain and hormones, and the earlier you do something the better ime!

The chiro I went to previously is pretty good and well regarded so I think I'll give it a go. I'm only 20 weeks atm so don't want it to get any worse.
