Normal that baby's heartbeat is dropping at every appt

So I went last week Thursday For normal check up. And baby's heart beat was 138 (through out the pregnancy was always between 144-150)
Today I saw my doctor again and heartbeat was 126.. I find that is a huge drop but my doctor said it is normal. As long as it is above 120.. Told him that baby is quieter lately then usual and I have some very painful Braxton hicks..
After noticing that I'm concerned he send me to the hospital for a non-stress-test

Oh and I'm 37+5 weeks pregnant.
Do you think it is really normal.

I live in America so we have 3:30 pm at the moment..

I'd say that is perfectly normal and within range. It's worth keeping an eye on movements though, a drop should be reported. Offer a sleepy baby with start wriggling if you drink some iced water.

Got hooked up to the monitor and heart beat is in normal range!

I always got her to move after cold drinks and sweets! But she quickly went back to sleep. I guess she is trying to get as much rest as possible before meeting her crazy active almost 13 month old brother
