When did you tell your employer that you were pregnant?

When did/are you going to tell your employer, and everyone else? Did you wait until after the 12 week scan?

Last time told boss at 9(wasn't well) and everyone else at 14. This time I'm currently 8 and hoping to keep schtum until as close to Christmas as possible. We'll see.

I told my Team Leader at 4 weeks! I found at at 3 weeks and a few days. Thought I was further along though but an early scan put me back by a week. Didn't have much choice as I was pretty ill at the time with uti's that were resistant to several anti biotics. She's also a close friend though. Told the rest of my colleagues after the early scan at about 7 weeks. Fortunately am 22 weeks now and all going well.

11 weeks, mainly because I wanted to tell other members of staff before the summer holidays, so had to tell the boss first!

Scan was at 13 weeks so I was a little nervy about it, but it was all fine and it was lovely coming back to everyone asking how I was and admiring my 19 week bump!

Now getting greeted as 'fatty' regularly in the staff room so the novelty has worn off a little, though it's very good natured as they know I'm not self-conscious and they're a lovely bunch.

I told everyone (managers first, then the rest of the dept, other depts are slowly hearing about it through gossip etc) at 15 weeks, just after returning from 3 weeks annual leave (I hadn't had my scan before i went off).

Had to tell them early. As I'm having so much time off because I'm so ill. If I wasn't sick then I would have waited till I got my matb1.
