Long story short - pregnant on the pill at 19 (miscarried). Came off my pill late August. Using condoms. 1 week late. No sign of AF. Lower abdo cramping on and off for last 3 days. Sore boobs - never had this on the pill or before that. I feel exhausted, SO bloated. Headache. But 3 negative tests... I feel the way I felt when I was pregnant at 19... Newly married and have so much more to do before we want to start a family... Freaking out. I've come off the pill before and gone straight into a normal routine, so no idea - could I be pregnant?
Thank you x

How long hVe you been in the pill for? Coming off the pill can send your body a bit nuts and it can take a while for cycles to settle, and sore boobs can be a sign of AF in its way.

I guess you need to keep testing if AF doesn't show soon.

Would it be so bad if you were preg? I know you said you were newly married and you want to do stuff...what does your DH say?

Sorry, my ins should be ons! Fat fingers!!

4 months I've been on the pill... I have endometriosis and my gynae cons suggested coming off everything to allow my body to rest.

We had a scare a year ago and my DH said "that would have been the end of my life"... If I had been pregnant. It's all a little fraught. We've been together 6 years, both nurses with good, well paying jobs and our own home... So when you look at it like that - we are in a fairly "perfect" position to be parents, you know? It's just not on our list of things to do at the moment.
X

4 months is not a long time being on the pill, but the pill can mess around with your body have you done a test? If you are over 1 week late try doing a test, but it maybe your body getting used to coming of the pill and regulating its self.

I was on the pill for 10 years when i came of it my time of month was not the same as when i was on the pill.

Also i think your DH was abit horrible with the comment of it would end your life, when actually having a child opens up alot of new opportunity! Like you said you are in a good position if it were to happen.

Take a test it the only way to make sure.

Good luck x

I know what he meant when he said what he said.. It's just not the right time for us, emotionally more than anything - we have a lot we want to do that having children would put a stop to. It's tricky.
I've taken a test this morning and it's negative again at 1 week late. I've just never had this trouble before.. I've always gone back into a predictable rhythm, post pill. My first pregnancy, I did show as positive until I missed my second period... X

Spoke to my Endo nurse specialist this morning (She is an absolute godsend!) - She recommended coming for a blood test to check for pregnancy and to also check my iron levels as I have a history of Anaemia. Had the bloods done at 10am. Luckily, I am a nurse and have a wonderful colleague checking my results this afternoon instead of waiting until tomorrow... Just want to know one way or another..
Still having light cramping, no signs of AF 1 week late.. heavy, bloating feeling in my lower abdomen. Nightmare!! x

Mrsgentle2014 - Best of luck OP, hope you get the result you want x

Mrsgentle2014 · 06/10/2014 22:59

Thank you :)
Results from full blood count are good - I'm not anaemic which is brilliant. Still waiting on the pregnancy one, looks like I shall be waiting until tomorrow... My mind is all over the place...
