Worried about very pre term labor

Hello, I am a bit beside myself with worry at the moment and have no one to really speak to as I live alone most the time (husband works away and for very long hours)

I am 27 now and this is my second pregnancy, because back when I was 16 I fell pregnant with an ex boyfriend. I ended up continuing the pregnancy but had a late miscarriage at 18 weeks and had to have a d&c. It was never explained to me why this happened all I knew is that the baby had died inside of me. I haven't told my husband this because I just don't think he really needs to know seeing as the baby was never born. I also did not disclose this to my midwife and not sure if I should have as it was over 10 years ago.

I am really worried about pre term labor now. I am 23 weeks and thankfully enjoying regular and a lot of movement daily from baby so it puts my mind at ease when I think about miscarriage but I am really concerned about pre term labor.

I don't know if I am in pre term labor or in the initial stages of it but I just don't feel like myself. I have had no bleeding/leakage just to clarify. Yesterday I got home from work and had terrible hip ache (only when I walked) my hip as in the top of my thigh. It got so intense that I considered going to a&e assuming I fractured something. I put it down to walking too far (I walked A LOT yesterday, and im not used to it as usually travel in the car!) in total probably about 5 miles. I had a bath and it soothed it, it still hurts when I walk and I still have to walk in a certain way to bare it.

So I woke up and I was having horrible horrible stomach pains, they felt like period pains intensified by 10. I then had stabbing pains in my vagina which seemed to be coming from my cervix. I know some people may disagree with this but I did check my cervix. I ensured I had clean washed hands. My cervix is and was extremely low (about 3 inches in to my vagina) and it is slightly open, I would say IF i tried (I am not going too) I could fit a finger in there.

The pain died down and boiled in to nothing really but I have had dihrea. Aswell as that I feel extremely dizzy and blurred and just off with a dull headache, also have experienced nausea. I don't know if this is relevant but I have only ate a sandwich and some crisps today and I have put on half a stone. I have took my bp on home device and is 104 over 63 so not high.

Any advice :(

Please just call your midwife or delivery suite to get checked. And tell them your history. It's not worth the risk. X

Echo the above - contact maternity assessment and go in to get checked just to be on the safe side.

Hip pain etc could just be spd or a side affect of the pregnancy but the stomach pains etc are more unusual.

It could just be an upset tummy - I had similar problems at around 20 weeks - upset tummy, horrendous stomach cramps, dizziness but it passed within a few hours and I knew that it was just an upset tummy.

Please ring your midwife. There's no point being beside yourself with worry- they will welcome the opportunity to check you and set your mind at ease.

It would be worthwhile telling through them what happened in your previous pregnancy - for you and for this little baby.

I'm on no. 5 here and trust me when I say that midwives do prefer to see you if you think that there's something just not quite right.

please call them

Another one saying please share your history with your midwife and get checked out. Hopefully it is all nothing, but best to be seen.
