Pregnant during maternity leave. Argh.

So I think I'm pregnant. I've had a very faint positive and need to buy another test to confirm.
DS is 6 months old and I'm due to go back to work at the begining of April. If I am pregnant this baby will be due at the begining of June. Sooo what am I entitled to maternity leave wise? Is it the same as the first leave even though they may overlap? Confused

I went back to work 25 weeks pregnant (very unexpected), I plan to work till 37 weeks so I'll be back for 12 weeks. I will get the same maternity package as though I'd been working all through out the pregnancy, this is a company enhanced mat package.

If your policy is the stat package of 90% of pay for 6 weeks the 90% of pay is calculated from the 8 weeks of earning before week 25, so weeks 17 - 25 as it were and if you only get SMP your 90% will be calculated on this. Hope that makes sense.

I'm not sure what happens if the mat periods actually overlap.

Can you go back earlier?

Go back jan-May. Then have shorter maternity leave.

I took 3 months both times, as have small age gap. Worked well as ds1 routine with me working already established. Both myself and dh did drop to 4 day weeks though, and do some from home

Thanks for the link! I've had such an amazing 6 months with DS that I can't imagine going back earlier with DC 2.
I think going back to work earlier Jan-May could work. They are desperate to have me back!
