Just had a sweep today.
Sitting around, had a sudden rather distinct "popping" sensation like a balloon popping in my belly.
Have put a towel in... wonder if it's waters!?!
Should I call in case?

You'll have to go in and check if they think it is, which starts a clock ticking in terms of when they'll then want you to go in to be induced. So... sort of up to you, and up to the state of your 'waters' (if they materialise).

AWombWithoutAFoof · 20/09/2014 18:15

I had a distinct pop when mine went. Good luck!

squizita · 20/09/2014 18:38

Going to wait an hour - if the towel is dry I guess that will be the best indication!
I am however getting bitching braxton hicks and cramps just now... so hoping it isn't just they're going to hurt for no good reason for a week, but that something is stirring! I was just yesterday observing how my bh were mild!!

That sounds like the beginning of things. Keep us updated. (I'm sure you will!!!)

ThinkIveBeenHacked · 20/09/2014 18:47

Eeek amd you are on the way!

Baby may be blocking the exit for the waters.

crazykat · 20/09/2014 18:55

I had the same thing with my first. I'd felt some movements then felt a pop and a tiny bit of water. Contractions started about 20 minutes later.

Never had the big gush of water that I was expecting which was because the baby was fully engaged so blocking it.

hartmel · 21/09/2014 05:25

Also had popping sound/feeling.. It started with just a trickle of water coming out but when I had to change rooms and got up from bed it just gushed out... 8 hours later DS was born..

Keep us posted

Grin Girl, 6 lb 14 oz, very robust! Labour was like an induction - very fast and (I was told having nothing to compare) intense: 6 Sat to 12.30 am Sun! And like a crazy mare I bloody minded stuck to gas n air n a pool. Lots of stitches but more a long normal tear than a complex one.

Home now ...
