Hi everyone,
I was looking at the Christmas bargain thread and thought it would be a good idea to have a baby bargain thread I've searched mumsnet and I can't seem to find one, please correct me if I'm wrong.
I'll start by posting some bargains I've found and if anybody has anything to add please join in.

I ordered this yesterday and it arrived this morning it looks great!

Baby clothes - once you start mat leave hang around a toddler group for a couple of sessions. Some mum or other will latch onto you and ask if she can unload used baby clothes!

Or supermarket multipacks are great. Doesn't matter that the clothes aren't as long lasting, even if you have a couple of kids they will only get a few months of light wear in total.

Top and tail bowls are the very definition of a solution without a problem. Grin

Download the Emma's Diary app and you'll get vouchers for three gift packs that you can redeem totally free in Argos or Boots. I got mine today and between the three packs got 4 packs of wipes, 9 newborn nappies, mini Metanium, mini Johnson's baby oil, bath wash and nappy cream, and a mini cocoa butter stretch mark lotion. Also included are lots of money off coupons which might be useful if you're going to spend in those places.

I tried to post the link earlier but stupidly managed to post one that included my email address so I won't try again. BUT - Babys'r'us does have a flash sale of 50% off this weekend and there are some quite cute things with pretty good reductions on it.

eastmidswarwicknightnanny · 19/09/2014 15:27

Aldi baby event at mo big boxes nappies are 6.99 we have been stocking up on all sized nappies range of brands as we did last time before go onto maternity pay.

KnackeredMuchly · 19/09/2014 17:06

I'm onto my second baby now - got rid of our steriliser so just bought the OP offer thanks so much!!! Grin

My bargain hunting from last time... make sure you sign up to Amazon Family, they do special offers for family members throughout the year and their nappy subscription for 20% off is excellent.

Get yourself onto local Mum groups - you will find bargains for sale second hand and learn about baby sales etc. There are dedicated pram groups too (please please buy a secobd hand pram - they are such good value!!) They often include the extras you need to buy like car seat adaptors etc.

KnackeredMuchly · 19/09/2014 17:06

*local Mum groups on Facebook.

In our area we also have a sling library and cloth nappt groyps filled with knowledgeable Mums

Babyscominghome thanks for the link to that Kub Folia moses basket, didn't want to spend much on one so I've just bought it for £19.99..fab!!

Only things is I've read since that it's a bit larger than normal, do you know or does anyone have this already and know what Moses basket stand I need? Or do you think I'll be fine with any stand? A wild stab in the dark I know!

BabysComingHomeForXmas · 19/09/2014 18:00

Sorry StrawbsAndCream I don't know anybody with that Moses basket and I haven't got it. You could wait until it comes then measure it and buy the stand.

Onlygirlinmyhouse1 · 21/09/2014 18:27

We picked up steriliser this morning as well was really pleased to get a great buy.

cheesecurry86 · 22/09/2014 17:54

i have so many vouchers clubs ect i got all my baby stuff for just under 800 quid and thats everything and not to mention i got the crib and pushchairs cheapish as well. Most of the clothes i got off my sister who had a baby boy 7 months ago, and he is big boy as well in 9-12 month clothes he skipped 3-6 months , so most of the stuff has tags on , i did give her some money for them as she needed bigger clothes for him .one of the pushchairs i got off a friend brand new and the other one i bought for a hundred quid ,i not a cheapskate by the way just i think companys should be ashamed of how much they charge for things ,800 quid for a pushair you gotta be kidding me i know babys are expensive but come on!!

cheesecurry86 · 22/09/2014 17:58

i got the complete tommee tippee steriliser in a sale event cost 56.99 and thats everything bottles .food and bottle warmer, bottle bags , powder pots , but i bought it in april as tesco had it on sale was well chuffed x

Amazon Family have a new offer on valid till the end of October.

Sign up for a 3 month free trial and you can get £15 of a £60 spend - great if you had a one off item to buy like a monitor or car seat (I bought both mine from Amazon)

Amazon Family will get you 20% off nappies too so you can stock up, and you can have free next day delivery on most purchases till Christmas. Which is great when you are panic buying presents in the week before Christmas! For me alone, this is worth it.

Ooh, and you get their version of Netflix too which is pretty good.

You must remember to cancel it by turning off the auto renew feature.

KnackeredMuchly · 25/09/2014 09:23

Join Amazon Family and get £15 off when you spend £60 in our Baby Store
Amazon Family offers exclusive benefits, is easy to join and comes with a 30-day free trial period for new members. To redeem this offer join Amazon Family, then add at least £60 worth of baby products to your basket and enter promotional code 'BABYFAM15'. Offer ends October 31, 2014.
