Buying baby stuff in the Jan sales?

DD wasn't born at the right time of year for me to know this... DC2 is due at the end of Jan and we need some things that we borrowed last time - car seat, Moses basket and also a new mattress. Does baby stuff like that end up in the Jan sales or is there no point waiting? I'm not too worried about the risk of an early birth as DH can pop out and buy the stuff if necessary.

Ooh id like to know this too! Don't want to be disorganised but at the same time don't want to pay for something this year when I can pay half the price in January!

This was my plan this year, other three children were all late so assumed she'd be the same giving me all of January to get things. dd had other ideas and appeared just before Christmas meaning mad rush for Moses basket and pram, thankfully nothing was in the sale after Christmas anyway.

Sales/offers on the big stuff seem to be all year round and wouldn't wait til Jan.

This is my plan! Both my others were summer babies so there was no chance of anything in the January sales as it was too early to buy.

I think I'm going to wait just in case (I'm hoping for a bargain car seat) and if they're not in the sale, I'll just get it then anyway.

Sales seem to start well before January and plus getting new stock for xmas so that have stuff on sale now so I'd start keeping an eye out now for stuff.

think new ranges for car seats & pushchairs often seem to come out in around September/October time so often good offers to be had on last seasons' stock Aug/Sep time. Other stuff like moses baskets - you tend to see offers throughout the year. Get yourself out shopping now!

Thanks, I'll get looking now, though I think I know what we want, so those exact things probably won't end up in any sales.
