Anyone else 5 weeks pregnant after a miscarriage?

Driving myself crazy here :( Found out last week I'm pregnant. I'm over the moon but really worried. Miscarried twins at only 7 weeks in March, so I'm convinced something is wrong already. I have a one and a half year old, I keep thinking about how blissful that pregnancy was as I was unaware of how devastating a miscarriage could be. Anyone else in the same boat? Please say there is!

Congratulations. I would just like to say don't give up hope. I have a 7 year old then had 3 miscarriages in a row, 2 started naturally & 1 missed miscarriage. I have up hope of ever having another child but I am now very pleased to say I am 37 weeks & 4 days pregnant & will be getting a section in next week & a half so good luck ladies. Don't lose faith xx

DontBeBlueBeARainbow · 11/09/2014 03:22

Yes, i had a missed miscarriage, felt like bleeding went on for ages, then first cycle after got pregnant. Now 12+3 and cautiously optimistic after a normal scan Smile

flowerygirl · 11/09/2014 08:35

Congrats to both of you! Always nice to hear happy endings! I just feel paranoid all the time, every twinge and worry something is happening. It took me four cycles to get pregnant again. I only found out I was expecting twins last time after I had light spotting around this time...so there was the massive high to know I was expecting twins and then a week later, a big bleed and it was all over. I know people have it much worse than me....I think it's just hard to take my mind off it all!

It's understandable to be anxious about every twinge. I am still doing it lol. But here's hoping you have a happy ending too Smile. Miscarriage is awful but there is always light at the end of the tunnel. I have had spotting during this pregnancy but turned out to be nothing, he's now transverse so I'm being admitted tomorrow to await c-section. Don't know if you worry more while pregnant or once they are here lol

Im 4 weeks (mmc at 8 wks in apr and chem in july) already driving myself crazy and I only found out yesterday! 1 week at a time (already looking into private scans if I make it to 7-8 weeks!) Everything crossed for us!

DontBeBlueBeARainbow · 12/09/2014 06:59

It is totally understandable to worry. You never really expect pregnancy to be SO up and down.

Getting to about 10 weeks, then having the first scan really lowered anxiety and now I feel like I'm just letting my body get on with it, and thinking about it perhaps 15 times per day, rather than 50!

Next thing to look forward, anomaly scan Smile

Best of luck to all of you, and stick together, keep chatting, it helps!

Thanks everyone. I know this is TMI but I keep checking my underwear as I'm certain there will be blood down there. I keep reminding myself that the sky didn't fall down when I had a miscarriage but it was so upsetting. I just really want another baby. If I make it to 12 wks I almost want to tell DH not to come to the scan because I'm scared there will be nothing there. Plus I'm so fed up of people asking me when I'm going to have another one. Does anyone else get this?

Hi flowerygirl, I am in the same situation. I had a missed miscarriage in April, and am now 6 weeks pregnant. Every time I go to the loo I check for blood and am nervous at every twinge. This is my first baby and I want it so much. Booking an early scan at 8 weeks to make sure everything's ok, then if it is hopefully my anxiety will lessen. Sorry for your loss, and good luck for this pregnancy. Keep us updated Smile

flowerygirl · 13/09/2014 14:53

Congrats MrsGranny! That's great. I also find the weeks seem to crawl by, do you find that? I remember when I got a positive pregnancy test...when I looked online how many weeks pregnant I was it was 3 weeks! I don't want to wish the time by but I just wish it was time for the twelve week scan already

Hey same boat here too. Not sure how far I am but I got my BFP about 2 weeks ago. I also go to the bathroom just to check my knickers, usually I don't even need a wee. I've had 2 miscarriages in a row since June. Congratulations to you! :) let's hope it all goes smoothly this time for all of us. Xx

Gingerbreadlady1 · 13/09/2014 15:12

Hi ladies. I'm in the same boat, have had 2 mc, last one in June, then found out at 11dpo I'm pregnant again. The crazy thing is we booked our first ivf apt on mon (2years ttc and fertility investigations/treatment).

So happy but not excited as just so scared it may go wrong again. Think it's gonna be a loonnnngggg 8 wks!

MrsGranny · 13/09/2014 17:17

The time is dragging, but to be honest I'm so scared about my first scan I don't want it to come round quick :-( hopefully all will go smoothly for all of us and we'll all have healthy babies next year :-)

flowerygirl · 14/09/2014 10:09

Fingers crossed for everyone! Sending lots of positive vibes! Sorry to ask Gingerbreadlady1 but what does '11dpo* mean?

It's day post ovulation flowerygirl

flowerygirl · 15/09/2014 13:06

Thanks Gingerbreadlady1, I need to learn all the lingo! Got myself in such a state last night because I've had cramping the past day. Was going to go to the doctor but there will be nothing they can do either way. I had spotting last time, had an early scan and they said everything was fine then a week later I had a miscarriage.

I'm just not enjoying this pregnancy at all. I just feel so paranoid all the time, any twinge and I think it's all over.

DontBeBlueBeARainbow · 15/09/2014 14:33

Hi everyone,

I was totally the same with the knicker checking, I still do it now (at 13+0 today) I still expect something to go wrong.

I had my scan at 10+3 and all was good, but somehow i still worry.

Where I am in the world you have a ultrasound every time you go in for an appointment, but that doesn't make me happy because I don't want to overdo it. I know it's stupid but did you see BBC In the Club, where in the first episode one of the women was worried about ultrasound causing miscarriage - since I watched that I've convinced myself 2-3 scans maximum, otherwise something might affect the baby.... it's like I could reassure myself, but I'd rather not....!

So now I just concentrate on getting to 20 weeks, half-way, having the anomoly scan.

Best of luck to all of you in the first trimester xxx

flowerygirl · 15/09/2014 16:46

Keep having dull (but mild) abdominal pains so I stupidly googled it and now I'm seriously worried it's an ectopic pregnancy! Called early pregnancy unit at hospital and nurse told me to take paracetamol ad call back in an hour if I'm still in pain.

flowerygirl · 15/09/2014 16:48

Meant to say congrats DontBeBlueBeARainbow! That's great! But like you say I don't think the worry ever goes away does it?
