DH and i have been trying to conceive for 5 years. got pregnant with triplets/quads through DEIVF. lost them all 10 weeks due to having thrombophilia. 2 years ago got diagnosed with fibromyalgia, spinal problem but not sure what the MRI results are yet. told i have adenymosis and fibroids. so not been trying to conceive as i thought it was not possible for me with everything going on with my health. had a hysteroscopy under general anesthetic 2 months ago and biopsy. no surgery. my periods are still very regular, 29/30 days and i do ovulate some months. last month only bled for 1 day, medium flow. never thought too much of it until nausea kicked in, boobs very tender and swollen now for over 4 weeks. sense of smell seems heightened.cant stand coffee or wine anymore. my aerolas seem wider, they have always been dark. constipation has been awful for weeks now and i am usually the other way around. too scared to take a test.

oh sweetie, it sound like you have had a hard couple of years.

There is only one way to find out if you are pregnant, and that's to take a test.

Gather yourself together, get to a shop, buy a test. Use the first pee in the morning.
(and buy something for the constipation - prunes or senacot (SP?) whatever you prefer.)

Whatever the result get to your GP.

Sounds very possible... Very best of luck! Try a test. X

mariamaystokes · 08/09/2014 10:16

well last night the cramps were worst on the left side, even after pain killers and a hot water bottle....i was still in so much pain. got up this morning with very mild cramps and barely any blood loss (watery pale red). nausea hit me again today and cereal not eased it. got appointment with doctor today but i am sure she will just laugh at me if i suggest pregnancy at my age. will update later. thank you ladies for talking to me, it really helps.

Any news? Hope you are ok xx

mariamaystokes · 08/09/2014 21:40

hi ladies, sorry its late replying been so busy today. went to see my doctor and she said if i was pregnant i was obviously not going to keep it at my age and that it would probably have loads wrong with it and that if i have been spotting and cramping then i am more than likely losing the baby. told me to pee on a stick tomorrow and let her know either way. i felt humiliated. i will poas first thing.

Rachie1986 · 08/09/2014 21:42

She sounds really nasty :-(. Hope you're ok xx

tillyann2013 · 08/09/2014 21:50

She sounds horrible, hope you're okay x

Seriouslyffs · 08/09/2014 21:59
Sad Definitely change doctor. Good luck Flowers
AndIFeedEmGunpowder · 08/09/2014 22:01

Wow! How insensitive. I'm so sorry she made you feel like that. Angry

Hope you are ok. Brew

Shockers · 08/09/2014 22:01

Oh gosh. Your GP needs to work on her bedside manner.

I hope you're ok.

sandgrown · 08/09/2014 22:04

I had a perfect baby at 45 . Good Luck Flowers

FranksBobot · 08/09/2014 22:05

Flipping heck, I hope you are going to put in a complaint about her. What an awful thing for anyone to say never mind a GP for goodness sake. Plenty of women your age are having babies nowadays. Ignore her and definitely change docs.
I truly hope you get the result you want tomorrow. Try not to worry about spotting. I had a mmc 3 years ago, currently 24 weeks pregnant and had a major bleed at 6 weeks with no apparent cause. Thanks
Good luck for tomorrow

Puddlet · 08/09/2014 22:06

Grrr _ honestly! Wishing you strength for tonorrow. Hugs

TribbleWithoutATardis · 08/09/2014 22:10

What a cowbag!! Complain about her!!

ThatBloodyWoman · 08/09/2014 22:10

Feel for you and the rough treatment you've had today.
Hope you have a good nights sleep.

Pommes · 08/09/2014 22:10

Good luck Maria, all the best for the morning. GPs can be wrong often.

Bellyrub1980 · 08/09/2014 22:56

Good luck for tomorrow. It certainly sounds like you're pregnant!

Can't believe the GP said that!!!

(Hope the stick gives you a positive result so you can prove her wrong!)

If the pain gets worse I'd almost be tempted to contact your local EPU directly to see if you can self refer. Some units allow this. Otherwise, a different GP for sure!!!

Rachie1986 · 09/09/2014 08:20

Any news??

mariamaystokes · 09/09/2014 08:38

good morning ladies, thank you for all your kind words but unfortunately the test was negative. i would have loved to have proved her wrong and will be changing my doctor. today no cramps and just a little beige on panty liner (tmi) sorry. xxxx

FranksBobot · 09/09/2014 09:19

So sorry you didn't get the result you wanted Thanks
Don't give up hope though. That doc was talking crap.
