wheelie case or holdall? Decisions decisions!

Finally getting a hospital bag together at 37 weeks.......
Help me make my mind up which to take. I have a small (cabin baggage size) wheelie case or an overnight bag which is ever so slightly smaller.
I am having an ELCS and we will be going in by taxi as there is no parking at the hospital. DH will then come and go by public transport (1 hr each way) so leaving stuff in the car not an option and replenishing stocks is limited.

I'm sure that I used the holdall last time but seem to remember struggling to rummage through everything and I may have taken the changing bag too with all the baby bits in. I was all set to use the holdall but there is something appealing about the wheelie case- one side for me, one side for baby and everything nicely ordered! I just don't want to look like I am off on holidays
Save me from trawling through all the old episodes of OBEM to see what they had by casting your vote please!

I would gave thought a wheelie case is fine for an ELCS - don't you go to a "room" and then come back to the same place afterwards? It's not the same as when you go into a delivery room and then onto a ward.

Oh no- hanging around in a waiting room, then into the op, transfer to hdu for 4 hours then on to the postnatal ward so quite a bitof moving around

I'd go for the wheelie case so much easier to pull along rather than carry.

I'm taking a wheelie case for me and a small holdall with baby things (but I'm planning a vaginal birth, so I have no idea how long I will be in hospital for and what I'll need, at least with an ELCS you know exactly!). I'd go for a wheelie case every time as you don't have to carry it! Also you can balance smaller bags on the top of the case in case you do end up accumulating extra stuff.

I had an ELCS Op and I took a hold all. I was given a room upon arrival. I then went to theather and went back to the same room for a few hours. I was ten transferred to te maternity ward (shared a room with three other beds). It actually wasn't any hassel at all.

Whatever you do try not to ake a big bag/case because you won't have much room once on the maternity ward.
