I'm 27 weeks and there is no room in my tummy for anything at the moment!
I keep on putting on and losing the same 2lbs and have put on 8lbs so far so feel like I should be eating when I am hungry, but once I have eaten I feel so full I end up being dehydrated because I have no room for the large quantities of water I am used to drinking.

Ate some porridge 3 hours ago and still feel full to the brim!

I know the solution is just to eat less so I have room for more and can keep hydrated, but in the moment i can't quite leave what's in front of me!

only going to get worse as well I presume...

rant over. thanks for reading!

I'm not sure what the problem you're having is - do you think you should be eating more? Do you want to be eating more? Putting on more weight? Not putting on more weight?

At around 27 weeks I was existing on icelollies and pots of jelly (it was during the hot period in July). They were the only things I felt like eating, and the only things that didn't give me heartburn. They were also hydrating in a way. At that point I'd put on about 5lbs, and no one cared that it wasn't enough, or was too much.. or even mentioned it at all.

Don't stress... just eat small amounts when you're hungry, you can always go back for more. Go for drinks instead of solid food if that's what you'd rather - cereal and milk is pretty good, a decaf coffee or cups of fruit tea or ice lollies, jelly etc - all make you feel hydrated, but also slightly filling you up. I'm 35+ weeks now and have raging heartburn, and annoying constipation most of the time, I'm eating whatever I can get in without wanting to heave (not very much really). I've put on about half a stone in total, again no one seems worried.

Stop checking what you have put on etc! It's not healthy unless you are obese and have been given proper instructions from your doctor. Around now the baby is growing like crazy so you are going to feel most stretched, tight, full now compared to the rest of the pregnancy (except perhaps the last couple if weeks). I remember around 25-32 weeks feeling like I was going to explode for a while as the baby suddenly got larger and my body couldn't keep up but it did ease off and become more comfortable. Just eat and drink as normal where possible and quit worrying about +/- 2 lb.

as i said - just a rant really - I know it's just one of those things I have to get on with, but feeling sorry for myself today!

I suppose i'm just frustrated because I feel hungry so I eat and then I feel awful afterwards - the 'full' trigger seems to be delayed so I can't quite work out what I can eat without feeling rubbish - some days I can eat a normal meal and and some days I can't.

good call re hydrating foods - I'll have to stock up!

in terms of how much I have put on I'm not massively worried as my bmi was 29 anyway pre preganancy, but just a bit shocked that for once in my life I'm not having to think carefully about everything I eat. Frustrating that I can't take advantage of it which is stupid I know!

luckily heartburn seems to come and go for me. can't imagine having it all the time. poor you!

I'm 27 weeks too. I had a yogurt for breakfast 3 hours ago and I'm still feeling full. There are loads of things I want to eat - I have an apple and banana sat on my desk in front of me, but I just don't feel like I have room for them, let alone eat my lunch :(
I haven't weighed myself since I was weighed at my booking appointment, my midwife hasn't asked about my weight so I've figured its not really important.
