Confused about NT results please help

Hi this is a bit of a long one I'm afraid so please bare with me. I'm pregnant for the first time with twins after a successful ivf cycle. At my first meeting with my consultant after my 12week scan and blood work, the doctor said that my DS risk was borderline high risk with 1twin (1:170). The other twin was considered low risk at 1:270. She also said that my beta hcg was higher than normal at 7.54 (corr mom). I asked her explain the risks of this to me and she kind of just brushed it under the carpet so I still feel really confused about what this could mean. I've tried researching it but it is a bit of a minefield. So here's my blood results maybe someone on here can help me.

NT- 2.4mm
PAPP-A 7470.1 mU/L 3.14 MOM
hCGb- 357.9 ng/mL 7.54MOM

I don't know anything about the blood results but did the consultant suggest you should get an amniocentesis or CVS? If not, then it sounds as if the consultant is not particularly bothered.
And was the NT figure there the one on the higher risk twin or were they both the same?

The NT result was the same for both twins. The consultant said because it was borderline they didn't advise an amnio at this stage but to take a closer look at the markers on the 20week scan. I'm hoping I'm just worrying myself as a first time mum but she was explaining that the high hcg could affect the baby's growth and could have an impact on premature labour.
She also said that hcg levels are commonly higher on a DS pregnancy

I was also going to ask if the NT was the same on both twins.
If you want to do a non invasive test you can have the harmony test as long as you didn't use a donor egg. Ive added a link to the FMC below.

Just a thought - I'm not sure you can have the Harmony test when you're expecting twins? The Fetal Medicine Centre will be able to advise though. They may also be able to advise on your blood results; I think - but not sure - that they will be interpreted differently with twins. The FMC A&E very good; might be worth having NT repeated there if you can afford it. In the first instance, you could call and see what they advise.

Sorry, just googled and I think clinics can now offer Harmony in twin pregnancies. Worth looking into maybe? All the best x

My Hcg was 4x with normal NT and Papp-A. I came back 1/100. Had amniocentesis and all fine .

Sorry, that was in response to the request for stories. I am afraid I don't have any experience of twins so don't understand how risk can differ with the same NT.

The nuchal measurement is with normal range so that's good. With the raised pappa they offere extra ultrasound scans to check babies. You should be offered an earlier check at 16 weeks to look for any major structural issues. And then the anomaly scan as per usual. With twins you will have more scans throughout the pregnancy anyway compared to a singleton.
The pappa is a new thing that even the drs are not yet sure of its implications. Try not to worry which is easier said than done. If you want to have the harmony test.. But if they didn't offer an amino then don't worry. If they thought is was too serious they would have done it.

If your at all worried get the harmony test

My result was 1:342 not high risk but for me it was still a concern

I paid £400 and it was worth every dime to stop me feeling worried, my local maternity hospital took the blood test and gave me a pack to post away . So I'd ask there before you try private clinics as it might well be cheaper. It was just the normal scanning department who did it for me.

So if you can afford it I'd do that personally.
