Bloody iPhone...

Just went to the loo and there was quite a bit of brown blood. I'm due to go in for my booking in appt this afternoon in an hour anyway so should I just discuss it with her as opposed to calling epu?

I'm quite achy and have felt really lightheaded and exhausted today so not sure what the midwife will say. They're really reluctant to scan you here so I'm a bit nervous it will just be a 'go home and see what happens' which will have me on eggshells...

I had this several times early on, including an actual red bleed at 8/9 weeks. It's fairly common early on and does not have to mean the end.

I'd say mention to midwife and see what she says. If u get anymore or it goes red, call epu to try to get a scan. If they are reluctant I would pay for a private scan.

Actually I would recommend paying for an early scan anyway- the way I see it, I would rather know ASAP if things were ok or not ok. That could just be me though as i had a mc last year. X

Hope your mind was put at rest today. I had this in one of my 3 pg along with a bit of cramping. I decided it was implantation bleeding the result of which is now a strapping 6yo whirlwind Smile

Thank you all for the reassurance. Went to the midwife and explained and she cut short my booking appt and referred me for a scan right away. I had to rush across town to make the half hour window I'd been given and unfortunately dp wasn't able to go.

Luckily all is well. There's a heartbeat and I'm measuring correct for my dates. The sonographer did say there was quite a bit of bruising and that was likely causing both the bleeding and achiness in my abdomen.

She wasn't sure. Said it could be implantation but that it seemed a bit far on for that. I did ask a lot about what possibly caused the bleeding but she admitted she didn't know for sure but that the fact the baby was okay was the main thing. :)
