Ive been awake since around 8am and could tell I was uncomfortable. Im 24 weeks pregnant. I have a pain in my right side. Anyway I got up to go to bathroom incase it was just that but that hasn't helped. I am now making my breakfast, moving around my kitchen and I am completely hunched over, my right side, beyond my bump is really painful when I move. It's fine when I sit or rest. I think i might be stuck on my kitchen chair all day that's how hard it is to move. I just had a little cry. At what point should I start to get worried? I have had round ligament pain, but most of those quickly subside, this pain has been here for about 2 hours now. On a scale of 1 to 10 when I try to move, its 7. Not moving, it's around 2. Baby has been kicking away all morning though so at least that's something.

Ring your midwife, round ligament pain bloody kills but like you said only seems to last a short time.

I'd go get checked out.

I had this, the pain made me sick it was so intense, I went to the doctors and it turns out it was a water infection that was spreading to my kidneys... Was horrendous so I got some antibiotics and within a couple of days it died down and I was all better :)! Infections can be very dangerous when pregnant so it's always safe to call and get checked out even if it does turn out just to be round ligament pain :) better to be safe than sorry x

Thanks for the responses imbrian and ellie2elysia. I rang the mw unit and they recommended paracetamol. That was two hours ago and the pain has not really subsided. They told me I can still come in. I think I will go get checked out. I'd rather play it safe.

Still all good sitting down. Just you know when I have to pee, or get something to eat I look like the hunchback of notredam since Im so bent over. Good job im not working today but now im hungry... had a little cry making breakfast so this should be interesting. My phone has also been permanently attached to me today for fear of collapsing!

It sounds like it might be gallstones to me (non medical person that I am) I had it a few years ago before pregnancy. It was right sided pain and paracetamol didn't touch it. It lasted about 8 hours for me when I had an attack and the pain was constant, it didn't ache or throb it was just constant. The only thing that helped was a hot water bottle on my back or sort of crumpling forward into a ball (not so easy with a bump!), until I had the pesky thing removed which was the best thing I ever did. Def get it checked out by someone medically qualified. Hope you feel better soon.x
