Help me out girls. Here are my symptoms...
-achey boobs (sore at times, always sensitive)
-itchy nipples (not all the time, but noticeable)
-bigger boobs and areola
-a lot of acid reflux/heartburn
-slight cramps
-a 'heaviness' in my lower belly

I'm on the pill, but do forget and take it late sometimes.
Have unprotected sex at least once a week
1 in 100 women on the pill get pregnant (which is quite a big chance if you think about it!)

I've done 2 tests. Both negative. The first was far too early, and the second (today) was possibly early

(I don't know when my period is due, on the pill I always move the date around to suit me + pill periods aren't menstrual, so do they count?)

Or could it all be in my mind?
anyone here gotten pregnant on the pill?

Thanks!!

You need to wait and test again. There is no way for you to know otherwise. Are you and your partner trying to have a baby?

PresidentSpreadable · 07/08/2014 07:52

No idea, but maybe you should consider a coil or contraceptive implant?

LoxleyBarrett · 07/08/2014 07:54

You need to wait and test again - there is no other way of knowing.

joeypoey123 · 07/08/2014 12:22

No, we aren't trying (though secretly I'm very desperate to have a baby)
I'm seeing my Dr tomorrow for a pill check up so will mention it then and hopefully have a test there

I was guessing you wanted to get pregnant otherwise it would be odd to be so careless about taking the pill. You do know that it would be very very unfair on a baby and on your partner if you got pregnant 'accidentally on purpose'. Sad

It's much better to wait until both of you are ready and 100% commited befor getting pregnant.

Sorry to be such a damp squid about it but to play games with this type of thing is a bad bad plan.

ThatsNotWhatISaid · 07/08/2014 13:27

Sorry, I sound like a right naggy Mum in my last post. Blush

FreeSpirit89 · 07/08/2014 13:55

I agree with thatsnot - very bad idea to get "accidentally pregnant"

I had a friend who did this to her oh, he guessed it was a complete accident because of how cool and not in a panic she was.

I hope you get the result you want, and it all works put for you

I would wait and test again.

But to be honest almost every month I was on the pill I convinced myself I was pregnant. Came up with all sorts of symptoms. And I was very good about taking it. I think it messes with you a little, I haven't experienced the same things since switching back to condoms.

joeypoey123 · 07/08/2014 14:21

I'm not trying to get pregnant accidentally on purpose.
Just because I want a baby, doesn't mean I am stupid.
My fiance and I don't have a mortgage deposit yet, we want to be married first, and want to be financially stable.
I'm sure every woman has 'wanted' a baby, it's in our genetics.

I'm not purposefully careless with my pill. I take it everyday, just some days I take it a few hours later than others.

Sorry, you said you sometimes take it late AND sometimes forget to take it which made me think you were happy to get pregnant.

Anyway, hope everything works out, sorry for the nagging post Blush

If your paranoid about being pregnant you make symptoms up in your head- I did it for a year and then when I stopped thinking it was going to happen I had no symptoms whatsoever the found I was 6 weeks gone! X

SourSweets · 07/08/2014 20:18

I got pregnant on the pill, and I was taking it correctly.

Wait a few days then test again (but it sounds to me like you are).

Good luck, which ever way things go. (Ps renting with a baby is fine!)

Shortiee2707 · 07/08/2014 21:57

I wanted a baby so bad that it didn't happen. I thought about it too much.. There is a possibility that you are pregnant but you can't be sure from a few cramps and sore boobs because that could just be signs of period or late period? I'd definitely wait or ask your doctor but he/she might also say to wait? It is the worst wait EVER but at least you'll have your answers :) hope you get the right result! Good luck X
