Mat leave starts tomorrow and it can't come soon enough

My mat leave starts tomorrow and I can't wait! No problems with the job itself I just can't wait to not have to haul my pregnant body on the train and up and down 4 flights of stairs everyday. Totally exhausted! I'm only 35 weeks and I have no idea how I managed to work to 39weeks in my last pregnancy.

I'm slightly panicked about how much I need to finish up today though and if I will get it all done.

Anyone else on the final countdown to finishing up? How does it feel?

I had my last day on Friday, am 36 weeks today. So relieved, I just couldn't do anymore, hot office and palpitations and a return if morning sickness. Happy to have a few weeks to myself now, I know it will be my last for a long time!

My last day will be the end of next week and I AM SO EXCITED! I'll only be 35 weeks and I thought I could go on for longer, but I am a home care assistant and the physicalness is KILLING me. Also driving 40 minutes just to start work... ahhh. I can't wait until my days aren't taken up at work between 06:15-22:40!!!!

On the other hand... what on earth am I going to do with myself!! :)

Massively on countdown. Finish next Friday at 35 weeks. Plenty to do with a 2yo at home but we can just head downstairs in our PJs in the morning instead of rushing around getting ready. I can sleep in the day when he does and have to commute for over an hour.

I can get all my baby paraphernalia out and start getting ready. Can't wait!!!!!!!

It's good to know others are looking forward to it as much as I am :-) I feel slightly guilty because I do quite enjoy my job but just the sheer exhaustion of everything means I'm not giving it 100% just now.

I have a three year old at home and pre-school is on holiday for another two weeks yet but at least we can do things at a slower pace, mooch about the house and garden and indulge in a bit of cbeebies to get us through.

Hope the next couple of weeks pass quickly for those waiting to finish up.

Finishing Friday at 36+3. Very excited and hoping baby stays put until then!

Finishing Thursday at 37 weeks - hooray! Can't believe I was originally planning to work until 38/39 weeks! It was only after reading everyone elses experiences on here that I "compromised". Actually, it's been pretty much ok up to now, but this last week is a killer.

Only 32 weeks and shattered. On my feet at work, usually very busy with sick patients. Been signed off evening and night work now so that's something!!!

Trying to make it to 37 weeks....
