I was kept in hospital last night on a monitor as I've been have strong braxton hicks in a regular pattern 10-12 mins apart! They sent me home as I'm not dilating at all! Could this be the start of labour! Still having the same sypmtoms today!!!

Hiya I'm 36+3 and i woke up at 4am with period type pains and sore hips plus went to the loo twice before 10am. I've still got them now but no tightenings that you get with braxton hicks.

I waiting it out to see if there's any more signs or pains get worse but so far it's maintained the period pains.

I had 'false labour'(dr called it) every day from an earthquake at 36+2 until birth (38 weeks) with DD2. It had a pattern where it would start around 3pm and last to around 7pm. I guess this was braxton hicks, but very regular and relaxing / energetic activity didn't stop it.
On the flipside. Labour was really short (i like to think my uterus was well toned).

I had very regular Braxton Hicks for WEEKS before labour so it might be something but it might not!
