I just want to cry....

I know it's silly and probably hormones but I just want to have a huge massive strop and cry. My friend had her baby yesterday (she was 40+5 so had had a fair wait!) and turns out that she was also delivered by my midwife. I really have baby envy and want my LO to show up ad would do anything for it to be me with my baby here. I know baby will come when it's ready and I potentially have another 4 weeks (i'm 37+5 today) but I just want time to whiz by!

Is this your first? If so, you should be grateful for the extra weeks you have! Get a pedicure, put your feet up, make the most of it.

Even if it's not your first, being on a labour ward in this heat would be hideous.

Definitely get a pedicure. Also a box of ice lollies and a giant fan. I went trough this heat heavily pregnant last year and you have all of my sympathy.

I agree, I remember feeling like that with dc1 and I do with dc2 but otoh, a bit more time to get things sorted out isn't a bad thing as you may not be able to get much done for a while once you have the baby! You are reeeally close!

everything is done at home - just waiting for a person to put in it! I am impatient at the best of times and I know in the grand scheme of things 4 weeks isnt long but still! lol I'm also still at work full time and intend on staying put until 7 August (im due 10 august!) unless the baby comes early

Well at least you know that midwife is doing her job well, nothing like a review like that! :)

I am not due till September and already although my logical brain knows baby is not ready, I'm like "I don't wanna be a whale anymore! I wanna be a sleepless, sweaty, milk-leaking mum!" LOL I bet I'll rue that thought when I'm being weed on changing nappies at 3am!! Grin

I remember thinking the same before DC1. Now I'd do anything to have those weeks back!

I feel your pain op, I actually have a thread in chat about feeling so crap now.
Im 40+5 today and more than ready, I want baby out now! Had many signs and much of start/stop but nothing happening again!
I am a grumpy hot whale today but hopefully it will be all over soon!! Me first though please Grin

MovingUpwards I do feel a tad selfish when there are ladies like yourself who are term+ and yet Im moaning on lol. I've enjoyed my pregnancy and know I will miss it when the baby is finally here. It's just at 5ft tall, with a size 8 frame, this bump is heavy and sore! Grin
