Bikini wax 20 weeks pregnant

I have booked myself in for a leg and hot bikini wax tomorrow. I've heard it can be more painful in pregnancy... I used to have them frequently and never found bikini waxing too bad tbh. Has anyone had a bikini wax while pg? Is it horrific?

I get my legs and bikini line ( not full bikini) done regularly and I've not found it any different in pregnancy; apart from the fact it gets a bit undignified with the bump!!

i had one at 37w. didnt hurt anymore than normal. a bit more awkward, but whatever - it is what it is, right?!

Oh god...with my first PG my waxing in the first trimester was agony. Normally I am fine. Went back to normal after the first trimester

This time round I had one at 7 weeks which was fine and lulled me into a false sense of security...but one at 13 where I thought I was going to cry. Due my next soon....will wince through it!

I regularly have Hollywood bikini waxes (all off) and haven't noticed it being any more painful since being pregnant and I'm 25 weeks now. My pain threshold isn't particularly high so I'm sure you'll be fine :)

I've waxed throughout pregnancy and not found it hurts any more than normal. You could take a paracetamol before you go if you're worried?

Marnierose · 24/07/2014 22:30

I think it's the same to be honest.

Question - I've not had a professional wax, but now I can't do pubic topiary myself, I'd like to go get it done. Boyfriend has tried to trim and shave bits for me, but it's not as good as normal. Normally I'd pluck outside of normal pant line, cut the rest down to 3mm all over. if I go see someone, will they be able to do trimming too? As well as waxing edges?

Thanks all. Hopefully it won't be too bad. goats, I don't know about trimming. I've never asked. I'm sure they wouldn't mind. Or you could go for a Hollywood like sorehead.
