I was hoping someone could offer me some advice about emailing my manager to tell them Im pregnant.

My complication is that im currently signed off on long term sickness due to a neurological condition. Ive been off since june and unlikely to return for about 2 months

Id prefer to email as ive had a few issues regarding my sickness and have been advised from a hr friend to only make contact in writing

Any help would be great, im not sure its a surprise ive recently got married

I wrote a formal letter to my boss and head office as my boss was very unhelpful unkind etc I was off sick before I got pregnant came back for few months then was signed off due to pregnancy related problems work went nuts but they can't use my pregnancy sickness against me although they tried!

What did you include in the letter? Is it just a paragraph saying I wish to inform you that I am pregnant with a due date of...... then what?

You are only obliged to tell your work by 15 before the baby is due (see this www.gov.uk/working-when-pregnant-your-rights) so if you are 13 weeks now and you're say, two months off going back, then theoretically you don't have to tell them until you're back. Then obviously do it in writing anyway xxx
