Is it possible to feel your baby at 17 weeks?

Last night I was struggling to sleep, as I lay there I could feel what I thought was my baby kicking. I woke my partner he had a feel and thought the same. Being first time parents we're not sure if it actually was our baby kicking, is it even strong enough to kick so hard?
After going to toilet it then stop so maybe it was just because my bladder was full?
I hope this made sense!?

Yes that was your baby. I'm also 17 weeks and have felt baby for a little while now.

Yep. At my 16 week appointment with ds, the midwife could see and feel him wriggling.

Yes, I've been able to feel kicking since around 16 weeks, and this is my second so I recognise the sensation.

I felt movement at 16 weeks but at that stage, it was just tickly 'butterfly wings'.

I felt my first at 16 week's but OH couldn't feel it until around 20weeks - but then maybe my belly has more padding than yours Grin

I was lying in the bath at 17 weeks and saw a kick from the outside! So yes, not too early at all.

DH felt a kick on the outside at 18 weeks but that was just timing, I had several kicks before then that I was sure he would have felt too, had his hand been in the right place. Congratulations!
