I'm just over 4 weeks and have woken to brown spotting when I wipe.

I KNOW it's normal - I had it with my ds but any reassurance/personal experience would be greatly appreciated!

I had this with my first pregnancy (baby is now 6yo ...) Went to GP who kindly sent me to EPU for a scan - that was very reassuring.

I tried to do as little as possible (not so easy if you have another DC) and rest a bit.

I had this at exactly the same time I think, maybe closer to weeks. Now 25 weeks all fine.

cheshirem2b · 03/07/2014 09:44

I has this at 7 weeks - absolutely besides myself with worry - got referred to EPU for early scan and all was well. Now 14 weeks with DC1 and cannot wait to have my little bundle in my arms!
fx it's just one of those things for you and all goes to plan.

mssleepyhead · 03/07/2014 12:59

I've had it from week 7, on and off. GP sent me to the EPU first, then midwife has assured me that for me it's just normal. Now 32+5 and had more just yesterday. Try to get an appointment for reassurance though.

I had brown spotting every day from around week 7 - 10. I wasn't offered an early scan, but as it happened I got a slightly early one due to my dates being wrong. Scan was all fine, and no one I saw seemed overly concerned about it (not helpful for you when you're panicking though!).

I know how worrying it is but from what i've been told, it happens to lots of people so you are certainly not alone x

It happens to loads of women I thought I was going rusty! My DS is 15 now, I do remember being scared though.

Thanks ladies. It was very light last night - maybe only every other time I went to the loo and there's a tiny bit this morning. It's apparently normal to get a bit of break through bleeding around the time of period. I'm feeling godawful with nausea and tiredness so hoping wee beanlet is getting comfy in there!

I had this as the first sign in two of my miscarriages. I'm posting this because all the threads seemed to be full of people saying it's normal and I was so shocked when I had bad news.

notoasthere · 04/07/2014 07:40

How did your miscarriages progress pixie I had this last time and have ds to show for it but it's still scary (being aware that sometimes it isn't normal)

I had more than a bit of spotting. In effect, i thought i had a brown period for 4/5 days. It was enough for me to think if i have another one like that I shall go to the doctor.

It was only when i got morning sickness a few weeks after that i my friend realised that i was pregnant.

foxinthebox · 04/07/2014 07:46

And i have a nearly 4 year old little boy!

MrsPixieMoo · 04/07/2014 19:47

How did my miscarriages progress? I has brown spotting for about ten days on and off and then heavy bleeding. With the last one I had bright red bleeding after 2 days. I've also got a 3 year old DD and am 36 weeks pregnant with another, but I wanted to say nobody on the internet can really tell you it will all be fine. It might be (and I really hope it is) or it might be sad news. Whatever happens, you're not alone on here. What really rattled me was lots of reassurance and not realising this can also be an early miscarriage sign. Even one GP I saw reassured me and that ended up making it much worse as I wasn't prepared for the worst as a possibility.

Thank you for sharing pixie The spotting seems to have stopped and I had a strong positive test this morning and symptoms so I feel reassured at the moment

Strong positive test is really good news. Good luck. These weekend waits are so awful and can drag. Well done for retesting. You're not alone on here.
