I"m 20 weeks now and with my first baby. Not felt any flutters yet. Is this normal? But i do have my scan on Friday :) x

After 20 weeks (I think 22?) with DS1

About 18 weeks with DS2

Thanks Twunk, I'm hoping any day now :)

Yes, 24 weeks for me.

She was back to back, small and I had lots of fluid (as I found out when waters were broken). It was apparently this combination that meant she kept her movements well hidden.

Marking my place :)
I'm 19 weeks. Felt nothing. Every time my belly rumbles I wonder if that's it! I'm hoping it comes soon!

Loveallmyboys · 02/07/2014 22:49

Coincidentally, I just came on to check this! I'm 16 weeks with number 3 and I'm convinced I can feel him/her right now. For about a week now I've been torn over whether it was wind(sorry) or the little person but I'm pretty sure it's baby!

I was around 22 weeks with Ds. Felt like everyone else in the world had felt something earlier than that, but actually my MW said it was quite normal with first. Apparently with later babies you feel it earlier, partly cos you know what it should feel like.

Franke · 02/07/2014 22:54

Yes, normal. I first felt flutters around the 20 week mark for dc1 and dc2. Much earlier for dc3 for some reason and later on in the pg he kicked much harder than the others - I was almost thrown around by the impact sometimes.

Not until about 24 weeks for me. Apparently i have an anterior placebo so that was lying in front of baby and stops you feeling movement early on.

iamelectrogirl · 05/07/2014 18:50

16 weeks and this is my first baby. Now at 17+6 I can feel actual soft kicks Smile

zummurzet · 05/07/2014 18:55

I remember going for my 2nd scan at 20 weeks and feeling very relieved that everything was fine as is felt NOTHING up until then. Felt first movements just over a week later, so nearly 22 weeks. Normal pregnancy, normal weight, good positioning, 8 lbs at birth... Just felt later than some.

NovemberRainbow · 05/07/2014 18:59

This is my first, could feel movement from 16 weeks, getting stronger now and DH felt one for the first time yesterday (22weeks).

LBNM19 · 05/07/2014 20:03

Hi I have an anterior placenta and with just started feeling movement last couple of weeks, so is say 22 weeks, 24 weeks and feeling him everyday now but not massive movements just here and there, so nice when you start feeling it :)

duvetfan · 05/07/2014 20:40

Same as twunk, 22 almost 23 weeks with ds. 18 weeks with this pregnancy. Anterior placenta both times but in different places which I think has made a difference too. Its easy to say, but don't worry about it. Everyone is different.
