23 weeks and im almost done. I didnt really plan for it, but we will be reusing dds car seat and pram, and have a stack of unisex clothes (this one is a ds) plus a friend gave us all her boy stuff.....

Ive even got the hpspital bag stuff put to one side, a change bag packed to go on the buggy.

I want to have nothing to do during my maternity leave but fear ive been a bit hasty!

I'm nearly 17 weeks but have a baby so have most things this time sround, All I need to get is a double pram and nappies etc. I bought new babygro's from next (cute little frog ones)

We might have to move house though so that will take up all my energy and I work full time so going to use my holiday leave shortly to declutter and sort dc1 clothes so that it will be less work to move.

Today I got rid of one full large bin liner for the charity shop and will fill another tomorrow - last pregnancy I was great for clearing out but not ruthless enough. I have lots of good occassion dresses etc that I know are not me anymore so I'm going to sell them to a local pre loved dress shop.

I'm 31 weeks and I just got A LOT of stuff sorted. Feeling quite smug!

On yes, just a tip. Cook loads of meals for the freezer if you can. I also stocked up of toilet rolls, biscuits for visitors etc. I'm due near Christmas so I will do my shopping earlier this year Grin

Mrsgrumble · 29/06/2014 21:20

Oh gembles .. Lovely stuff. What are the sack things?

ThinkIveBeenHacked · 29/06/2014 21:22

Ooh photos! Brilliant! I filled a trolley with baby stuff to keep in our room will share it in a mo.

Good idea about freezer foods. Our freezer needs defrosting so ill set about doing that over the next week or two then bag up a load of chillI, bolognaise etc.

Ooh I loved putting dds nursery together Grin

This baby is getting a corner in our bedroom til we think they can start sharing a room but itll probably be a lot longer than the six months dd was in here.

DDs room is still my favourite in the house.

mrsgrumble Baby sleeping bags? Oh maybe the bundles of sheets! They're ASDA jersey ones, 4 x crib, 4 x cot, they come in little bundles of two.

RebeccaCloud9 · 29/06/2014 21:31

I'm 24 weeks and have NOTHING! (apart from a few random bits given to us second hand). Got 3.5 weeks of teaching left then off for 6 weeks hols so planning to do everything then so that it'll be done before back at school in Sept, working full time and 8 months preg! Need to decorate the whole house and get nursery furniture too.

But a) been mega busy and know I have time off soon and b) I know that when I start shopping I won't want to stop!

ThinkIveBeenHacked · 29/06/2014 21:58

What a nice activity for the six week holidays! Will you have much in the way of school work to do in the holidays? My friend teaches secondary and she pretty mich treats the first week as a working week then gives herself the remainder to relax.

mssleepyhead · 29/06/2014 22:28

Had nearly everything sorted by 28 weeks including decorating the nursery. Am a teacher and will be nearly 36 weeks when we break up for summer and didn't want to be doing flat pack furniture and making curtains then so took advantage of last half term. Now just getting the final bits and bobs I couldn't face before (maternity pads!!) so I can give myself a completely restful last few weeks once term ends : )

Lalalax3 · 29/06/2014 22:38

I'm a teacher too but off sick with HG so have waaaaaay too much time to make lists and buy things online! Blush

ohthegoats · 29/06/2014 22:45

No, have done nothing. That's what the holidays are for (teacher too).

hartmel · 29/06/2014 23:30

I'm 23 weeks with DC2 and just need newborn socks, bottle teats and nappies. Otherwise I have everything. Dc1 is a boy and 9 month old so still have a lot neutral stuff from him. Dc2 will be a girl so got a lot of second hand clothing. Just need to wash them and organize them in the closet.. Bought double stroller yesterday.

Just have to get stuff for hospital bag but that I will do once I'm 30 weeks.

Gennz · 30/06/2014 00:19

Yes - I am 18 weeks and we already have nursery set up with cot, changing table and drawers. Buggy ordered & paid for on Saturday and baby car capsule bought. A pile of newborn clothes, courtesy of my sister sitting in the cot. I think I might slow down for a few weeks, I feel a bit superstitious about being so organised so early...

PopcornFrenzy · 30/06/2014 01:45

I'm coming up 20 weeks and have 1 muslin cloth as it was cheap on ebay. I have plenty of time, with DS I packed my hospital bag a week before I needed it and I only did that to get my mother off my back!

I don't have any clothes left from DS as this one is very much a surprise and I really wasn't expecting anymore!

Well done to all those who are organised, super efficient who put lazy ones like me to shame Grin

Redling · 30/06/2014 05:11

I had almost everything at 25 weeks , only got a few bits to get when I start maternity on Friday, I couldn't bear the idea of having loads to do. As much as I have bought stuff online I do like to see it in a shop first if possible, so didn't fancy heavily pregnant shopping in July! Also, I hate knowing I need something and not just getting it. I am going to Westfield at 35 weeks for last Mamas and Papas run to finalise the big cot (I bought a crib at 14 weeks!) and last bits for hospital bag ( it's killing me to not have it all done, but I need Primark for my afterbirth clothes and pants!).

Redling · 30/06/2014 05:15

mssleepyhead I know what you mean about holind off things like maternity pads etc, I definitely bought the nice things first but just did a Boots run two weeks ago for breast and maternity pads, disposable knickers etc! The grim shop.

splendide · 30/06/2014 06:24

I'm 24 weeks with my first and have nothing at all! Have some quite extensive lists and have chosen a buggy though and a crib. I'm going to have a big shopping day maybe week after next and start to get some bits. I think I'm weirdly in denial about the whole project (despite this baby being very much planned and wanted)!

MrsGiraffe12 · 30/06/2014 06:31

I'm 30 weeks and have everything. Have done since about 20 weeks. But then my eldest is nearly 6 and we still had everything baby of his to reuse. All I needed was a new mattress for the cot, 1 neutral newborn clothing (didn't find out gender) and my hospital bag stuff. Using DS cloth nappies again and will hopefully breastfeed. Must have only spent around £50 :-)

MrsWones · 30/06/2014 07:33

I'm 30 weeks with my first and have pretty much everything now. The cot is arriving this week and other than a few bits for my hospital bag it is all pretty much done. I've not got too many clothes for DS yet but family and friends have hinted at those.
OP I have however done all of this in the last two weeks. I had nothing apart from 1 baby grow and a teddy at 20 weeks.
Don't worry too much, its fun when you go shopping for stuff. You have plenty of time Smile Smile

Left everything til the last minute last time and vowed never to do it again.

3am is not a good time to be setting up a steraliser and reading instructions. Just total lack of preparation.

This time I am going to be super prepared. I. 25 weeks so from about 30 I will be starting to buy nappies, babygros etc etc

RebeccaCloud9 · 30/06/2014 16:44

thinkivebeenhacked I would normally have loads of work to do but as I'm only back for a few weeks in Sept before maternity leave I wont have my own class - so I have NO work to do this year in the hols woohoo!
