So, last night during the night I had such bad cramp (like period pains) that it woke me up. At the same time, it seemed my boobs were no longer tender - this resulted in a full blown panic attack. I then didn't sleep for the rest of the night. I am about 6 weeks pregnant.

Today has been awful; been really teary and anxious. I keep looking for blood after the pain I felt last night but nothing. Incidentally, my boobs seem to be tender again but perhaps not as much.

I have a doctors appointment this afternoon.

Has anyone experienced anything like this? Xx

Please try not to panic! I know its easier said than done, but as a doctor once told me, you have no control. Its hard to think that, but panic and stress doesn't help the baby.

Just an FYI. when I was 6 weeks pregnant, I started getting period cramps, this can be just the uterus growing, so could be growing pains. Go and see you early pregnancy unit or call them and they will reassure you and scan you if they think you need it! :) Good luck

I had cramps (which had me in tears) and also some bleeding when I was around 6 weeks. I had an early scan at what we thought was 7+2 (I was actually 8+4) and all was and is still fine - Im currently 33+4.

The pains I found were growing pains and also constipation. Believe me, the worry doesnt ease anymore the further along you get but you don't get as panicked as you begin to learn what is "normal" for you, your body and your baby.

Speak to your midwife and/or early pregnancy unit for reassurance and ask for a scan if you feel this would relieve your mind. Best of luck Smile

Symptoms come and go in 1st tri, please try and stay calm for your own sanity (don't worry about 'stress' damaging the baby, that is bollocks). Cramp is quite normal too (aka stretching pains). If you have bleeding then absolutely call your GP and get a referral to EPU, but otherwise chances are you will be fine.
Welcome to the nerve-wracking world post-BFP.

Thanks for the replies ladies - Corporesarnie, it certainly is nerve-wracking. I think I was elated the day I found out and have done nothing but worry since!! I've been to the docs and she didn't think there was anything to worry about. She did another test while I was there and said it was a really strong positive.

Guess the whole thing is just a waiting game! Xx

My sore boobs are still coming and going (almost 13 weeks) and I have had cramping throughout. Weirdly I almost see this as a comforting thing, putting my mind at rest that things are happening in there.

I haven't had anything severe though, and no bleeding, anything like that is always best to get checked, but I have been there with what you describe Smile
