Not personally, but my DM had three children from eleven pregnancies. All bar one MC occurred between successful pregnancies. It's so hard not to worry, but I'm keeping everything crossed for you. With your history you should be able to get a reassurance scan in the near future - perhaps that would be a help? Smile

Mummymidwife87 · 25/06/2014 12:27

I had 4miscarriages and a termination and am currently waiting for the imminent arrival of the large wriggler in my uterus

squizita · 25/06/2014 14:02

After 2 losses your chances of the next one working out fine is still about 75-80%, really good. Even after 3 it is usually 70% success rate.

I had 3 MC, one had health complications. After 3 I was entitled to tests on the NHS, which diagnosed me with a blood condition (treatable).
I am now 28 weeks - all my losses were before 12 weeks, so the treatment has clearly worked.
However only 30% need treatment: most women have a 70-80% chance of success on their own and have just been terribly unfortunate before.

:)

Thanks guys, your comments are all lovely and in deed reassuring Smile

I'm feeling really confused and bewildered right now as another baby was really not in my plans, so I can't feel exactly happy, but then feel guilty for feeling this way Sad

I had one DD then three miscarriages and then DS.

duvetfan · 25/06/2014 14:40

I had a mc before ds and then one before this pregnancy. Only 24 weeks so not out eof the woods, but keeping my fingers crossed. I know people with more mc than me who have had healthy babies.

ScouseBird8364 · 26/06/2014 16:22

I've just wiped blood Sad now feeling very emotional and devastated, have no one to talk to and wondering WTF is wrong with me Sad Can't believe this is probably happening again Sad

have you had any investigations for the previous m/c, Scouse?

ScouseBird8364 · 26/06/2014 17:11

hey mloo, no, apparently the investigations can only be done via the NHS after 3 or more, so will be speaking to the hosp tomorrow Sad

Scouse I hope this works out for you, I know blood can be terrifying but it's not always bad news!

I had an mmc (miscarriage that was found at my scan when I was 13 weeks) and then 5 years later with my current dp we started trying. I think, though I'm not sure, I had an early mc at about 4+ 3 or 4 in our 4th month of trying - I hadn't tested yet, but had the most painful, heaviest period I've ever had.
Then I conceived in our 6th month of trying and now I'm 21 weeks with an apparently healthy baby boy :)
When I was 6- 7 weeks I had pink spotting, Including bright red blood one morning when I woke up (which didn't continue through the day) and had a scan at 6+5 where we saw a heart beat. I had some spotting again at about 8 weeks which I didn't worry about as it was so little. But he's all fine and they didnt find a cause, so it's totally possible for your bleeding to be nothing to worry about.

ScouseBird8364 · 26/06/2014 17:25

Thanks alita, I really hope this is the case but I feel completely deflated now Sad Going to go along to the BEP Clinic at the hospital in the morning, they're really good there, not like the one I had my boys in, which was the Liverpool Womens, I'd opted for Whiston this time x

I had my daughter in 2007, followed by three miscarriages. 1st in 2010, 2nd in 2012 & third (which was a missed miscarriage) in 2013. I am now currently 26 weeks & 4 days pregnant so so far so good Smile good luck x

curiousgeorgie · 26/06/2014 19:25

I had DD1, then 7 miscarriages, and yesterday my DD2 celebrated her 1st birthday Grin

Good luck x

mloo · 26/06/2014 19:34

I know someone who has 4 healthy children & at least 5 m/c, all mixed up in order. Best Wishes. x

Dropdeadfred2 · 26/06/2014 20:28

yes I had 2 healthy children then7 early mcs before having dd3...best of luck !!

SomeSunnySunday · 26/06/2014 21:22

I had DC1, then 3 miscarriages at 6 weeks (and a few more at around 4 weeks, which were classed as chemical pregnancies), all in quick succession and while DC1 was still very little. I had some testing for recurrent miscarriage, but nothing was found.

I then had DC2 (conceived 4 months after my last miscarriage), and am now 14 weeks pregnant with DC3 (no miscarriages in between this pregnancy and having DC2).

I hope it works out for you, it was a really dark time for me but whatever the problem was, if there was one, did seem to sort itself.

ScouseBird8364 · 27/06/2014 11:33

Thank you so much for all your comments and words of reassurance, they've been a huge support as I don't really have anybody to talk to about this stuff. I've just had an early scan (I'm only 5 + 4!) but there it was, a tiny flashing heartbeat Smile I feel so happy right now, but going to be on edge as this happened last time (heartbeat, and then a week later little Pea left me) Sad Just fingers and toes crossed now I guess and start taking my baby Aspirin and high-dose Folic Acid Smile x x

I'm the healthy baby after a straightforward first pregnancy then 2 mc's for my mum Grin

butterfly86 · 29/06/2014 21:15

Hi I had 4 miscarriages and now my dh is currently feeding our 9 day old baby girl, I never thought we would get here but we have, wishing you the best of luck for a healthy pregnancy :)

furryleopard · 30/06/2014 08:10

I had 4 miscarriages last year all before 8 weeks, tests have shown nothing, I do have an overactive thyroid but I'm assured it's not that because it's controlled with medication that doesn't pass the placenta. I am currently 24+3 and all I'm doing differently is talking 75mg aspirin each day. I hope it works out for you, stay positive as much as you can through the dark days and hopefully there will be light at the end of the tunnel.xx
