What is it like having 3 kids under four?

I recently found out I am pregnant with my third child, this was unplanned but after the intial shock were happy about it.

I'm just wondering if anyone can tell me what it is like having three kids under 4? My first is brilliant, sleeps 13/14hrs per night and is incredibly well behaved. She has just gone three. My second is a little whirlwind and can be hard work at times. He sleeps 13/14 hrs but wakes up twice for milk, but he literally drinks it and falls back to sleep. He is 16 months, the third is due right 1 week after my second child's second birthday!!

We have a big enough house and car so neither of the big things are a worry and I have everything baby related from the previous two.

I'm just wondering how well I will cope with morning sickness without much help this time round and two to cope with!! I work almost full time and it's shift work.

Any comments will be helpful. My only saving grace is my daughter starts nursery in September....but she is no bother anyway....so it may be more of an inconvenience!!!

I had three kids under three (no multiples - just very close in age). I don't actually remember much about DC3's first year.

However, by the time DC3 was about 18 months and I was slightly less exhausted I found there were benefits of bulk child production. The children entertained each other, and were at similar stages in their development - I could, for example, take them to soft play and know that all three would enjoy it and I could sit down with a coffee and ignore them.

Haha that cheered me up! Yeah mine are all just very close in age, a lot of people make really rude comments to me about it. Some in a joking manner but I'm just not ready for the hassle I will get. I work for the emergency services so have to come out of uniform immediately however my uniform won't fasten over my belly any more so I think people will guess even if I deny it.

My main worry was having another one like my son....I may end up crazy!!! People's comments do bother me. I told my boss who's response was "fuck them it's none of their business you could have 20 kids if you wanted to" so that made me feel better!

I had 5 in 4 years (2 sets of twins) and I found the school run an inconvenience off a while but soon got into the swing of it :-)

I don't have personal experience but my mam has 5 kids the first 3 have a years difference between them them 4years gap for the 4th and 4 years gap for the 5th and she has always said it was easier with the first 3
