Just had my 12 week scan and wanted to say how impressed I am with King's. Really lovely doctors. (Part of a research project I think so not sonographers.) Everything was clearly explained, they saw me very promptly and sent DH and me off for lunch while they waited for the blood test results to give me my risks for downs/Edwards/turners. A really positive experience. It's my third baby after having 1 and 2 at a different london hospital (which was excellent for the birth itself) and I really wasn't expecting that lovely an experience. That is all!

They're amazing! They go above and beyond at the harris birthright centre.

I love their community midwives too. I think they have a new midwife lead unit? Are you having baby there?

I had my 12 week scan at the Harris Birthright centre too - they were fab, and as I turned out to be high risk and had CVS + extra cardiac scans I was so pleased to be there - felt I couldn't be in safer hands.

i couldnt agree more. i went for my 12 week scan on tuesday and was so so nervous, they put me at ease so quickly. baby is a couple of days behind where i thought, so they asked me to come back next week to check everything but were so reassuring when i looked worried. there were 4 researchers in the scan but they couldnt have been friendlier. so happy to be giving birth there

Up until recently I was with tommies, but as we are having twins we swapped to kings as the specialists are there. I have to say the first scan we had at 16 weeks was fantastic, very in depth. Tommies was so quick at 12 and he completely overlooked so much including photos and he kept being interrupted. Fortunately we had already had the harmony at FMC, which was outstanding. I'm much happier at kings, they're monitoring our twins weekly now for signs of ttts and iugr. I feel in safer hands.

Yes - I'll be giving birth there (if I get there in time).... Had v good labour care at UCH with last 2 but post-birth care was awful with number 1 - but fab with number 2. Sure king's will be fine - hope to be out quickly anyway...
