Unsure if I'm even moaning really
Or jugs over thinking things !!
I'm 17 weeks on Friday
3-4 weeks ago I was worried that I was showing too much - I have no sort of bump- I've just grown everywhere. My jeans don't button up unless I put them on in the morning before I've eaten, my tops are abit more snug but that's it really. I just look like I've put on abit of weight
However this was really bothering me as I was worried I was going to be huge.. However now I still have no bump.. Shouldn't it be here yet? People who don't know I'm pregnant have no idea - people who do know say yeah its coming abit I suppose..

So basically now I'm worried that i don't have a bump and something's wrong!
My poor baby can't win with me !

I started a new job at 6mo pregnant with my first and noone noticed.

Relax, you'll have plenty to shout about soon Grin

Firstpregnancy2014 · 10/06/2014 10:38

I'm even annoyed at myself because I know I'm overthinking it ! Probably because I know 9 pregnant people at the moment and they all seem to have this bump which I don't have ! And I'm too scared to ask if they're breathing out for pictures !

Maybe you have fantastic tummy muscles?

Firstpregnancy2014 · 10/06/2014 10:43

That's not the case either ! I was a size 10 but I wasn't one of these lucky people with a flat tummy! It's really wobbly now which is why I was expecting a bump! And I mean... Really wobbly

I think everyone is really excited and interested in their changing shape when pregnant, it's natural. Everyone's different, and you'll be as round as you like soon enough!

Firstpregnancy2014 · 10/06/2014 10:45

Please remind me of this post when I'm moaning that I can't see my feet :)

^^ exactly

CarCiKoTab · 10/06/2014 10:48

I'd make the most of it, I always get jealous when I see people with these tiny little neat bumps and there's me, just been washed up on the shore of our local beach. I get all tearful when the 'save the whales' advert comes on.

Missteacake · 10/06/2014 10:49

Ha ha ha OP I'm the exact opposite to you I'm worried as I have a large bump (only 17weeks but is my second) and nothing anywhere else. I was just moaning on another post that I look like a balloon with sticks coming out the bottom and sides and a wobbly head Wink. I think we all worry about the changes whatever they are.

somedizzywhore1804 · 10/06/2014 10:51

I'm 36 weeks and only looked properly pregnant with a bump at 27 weeks plus. Midwife said I must have "a nice wide pelvis" Confused

Scoobsmam13 · 10/06/2014 10:52

I didn't show a proper bump with my first until 20 weeks, just looked thicker round the edges. I then grew and grew and grew with a vengeance and everyone was asking if it was twins!! Lol. You will catch up, don't worry Smile

squizita · 10/06/2014 11:09

17 weeks... no worries. With a first many people don't show till 20+.

I popped SUDDENLY about 19 weeks or so: actually hurt my ligaments quite a bit, it was from nothing to bump in less than a week!

Martie1 · 10/06/2014 12:20

Im 14+1 with dc1 today and well I just feel flabbby. I feel wider generally and my stomach just feels flabby. Im 5ft 6 and weighted 9stone 8 before. Im now 9 stone 12. I got all excited this morning as i could definitely feel a hard lump at the bottom of my torso and thought, yea! this is the start of it. I even had dh feel it. I then went to the toilet and went back to bed. The hard lump was clearly my full bladder. I only appear to have a bump in the evening when it's clearly just bloating. This is pants. I want a bump. So i feel your pain firstpregnancy2014. I was living in hope of being a slim yummy mummy to be, with a cute bump, but alas I think i am destined to be nice and wide with no discernible bump. Oh well, i still get a little bub at the end and that's the main aim Smile

HopefulHamster · 10/06/2014 13:26

I got to nursery pick-up yesterday (son is 3.11) and all the keyworkers were saying 'Your DS was saying he's going to be a big brother. Is that er, true?'

I said yes and they were all congratsy, but I'm 23 weeks! I think it was pretty hard to tell with my until about 20 - I got more solid rather than with a distinct bump, but even so I was surprised they hadn't noticed by now :)

Some people just show differently, and it can be hard to judge yourselves against them. My friend is four weeks ahead and will always be bigger than me (not just because of the time difference).

I was v paranoid about not being big enough and still am to an extent - but hopefully it's growing and the midwives aren't concerned so that's the main thing.

iamelectrogirl · 10/06/2014 13:44

I'm 14+2 and I just look like I'm getting fat...even though I lost a stone through MS.
No bump to speak of, my nan keeps telling me I'm not eating enough, I haven't told her about the entire bag of kettle crisps I ate last night though...Smile

Boogles91 · 10/06/2014 13:46

TightyMcTight · 10/06/2014 13:48

I had worked in my school for 5 years and when I told people at 20 weeks that I was pregnant no one had guessed! When I said I was 20 weeks gone they were Shock
