baby stopped growing

hello, my baby is 1 year old now but I thaught id ask anyone if their babies stopped growing in pregnancy? my son stopped growing when I was about 34-36 weeks so I had to have him early, he was born 5'5 and he is now a very chubby little man but still on the shorter side, so has anyone else had this experience and what are their babies like now? I got worried hearing stories about how it can mean dwarfism or a number of other things if they stop growing x

Don't have experience of this but you should really talk to your HV or GP if you have genuine concerns. Bear in mind that babies growth rates do slow down as they get older. Are you and/or your partner short in height? He may just take after you. How does he compare to other children his own age? All babies are different so don't panic if he's not exactly the same as others.

well im only 4'11 but his dads 6'2 so really tall and really short, all the other babies I know are super tall for their age so im just not sure whether hes average or a bit smaller, I just hope hes not as short as me cause I had alot of stick for being this height growing up
