Paranoid, FTM here. I just went for a scan after some light bleeding and lack of movement.

After looking at it when I got home, I saw its femur and head diameter measurements are 1.5 weeks behind what they should be. At my 'big' scan 3 weeks ago, the head was way past its real date (by about 2 weeks) and the femurs were normal. I know short femurs are one of the markers for abnormalities, but they were fine last time, and now they're growing at the same rate as the rest of it, even though that's small if that makes sense. I'm still worried as relaxing during this pregnancy would be too simple it seems!

Does anyone else have experience with this to reassure me? I know that the dates aren't always accurate, especially as it was a rushed scan. That and my doctor didn't say anything, but as it wasn't a proper appointment, just a quick emergency check. I'm worried she'll just hit me with bad news next week.

I'm 27 weeks, I had a scan last week as I had sum bad news on renal scan and it was the same girl who did my 2 scans on dc1 and dc2 she hugged me and said tell ya what let's have alook at baby, which made me feel better, my daughter 2 b is tiny, meazuring 2 weeks behind what I am she has got enormous long legs but she is minute every where else she was all out of proportion at 20 week scan but looks in proportion now, http sonographer said she's fine but weeny a big differemce to dc1 who was massive and could hold his head up from birth! And at 3 1/2 is still of the scale!speak to midwife if concerned at all they can reassure u I have a froend who is a midwife in norway and ah tells me babys do funny things sumtimes but nearly always ok!

Yeah 2nd trip measurements can be weird. All different and out of whack, I was told in most cases they even out over the weeks!

By the way, at 22 weeks, whilst checking a bleed is hgood "lack of movement" is unusual - many women don't feel movement till then!
There are big debates about maternal anxiety and asking about movement before 24 weeks.
So try not to worry about movement for now!!

Thanks everyone! squizita, yes, you're right, and I don't want anyone else to panic thinking it's unusual for it to stop moving! I'm lucky to have felt it from 20 weeks but not always the case. Mine often has a day or two where it just takes it easy! I was just concerned due to the cramps and spotting too due to earlier issues, otherwise I would have just eaten a lot of ice cream and waited.
