I'm 29 weeks and have had this on and off since Friday (right side for me though). Got told it could be a UTI - so checked urine but that's clear. So apparently it's likely to be ligament pain from the ligaments supporting the uterus. Basically, if not a UTI it's nothing to worry about!

check with midwife though!

I had it loads towards end of my pg. Mention it to your midwife but mine was nothing to worry about.

I have it all the time when I walking & carrying my heavy handbag. I think ok, but would like to hear other opinions!

Round ligament pain. Not serious but uncomfortable and downright painful at times.

If you get it prolonged.. I used to lie on my back with my knees bent and feet on the bed and rock my knees and legs from side to side until it passed.

Same I get it in the lower right hand side, in the exact same place every time I walk for more than 5 minutes. I've said it to the midwife and she said it's likely to be a muscle or ligament issue. It's sore but annoying as I'd like to be able to go on long uphill walks to try and stay fit. I'm 26 weeks.

Try standing on both feet, then raising your left foot off the ground, keeping your left leg straight (so your hips tilt). That can help RLP.

See how long it lasts. I had this and it was agony when moving. I called triage as I had never felt anything like it and it turned out to be urine infection and kidney stones. Hope it goes soon but get it checked.

a maternity belt can help.. mine just was a big piece of elastic basically. It helps support the bump to take the pressure off the ligaments but you can still get the pain on occasion.
