Hi
I'm 37 weeks pregnant on Friday and this afternoon was in the park with my toddler when I took a tumble and fell over. I was shaken up but didn't fall on my bump. Luckily I fell on my knees but I went straight home and rang the hospital to see if they thought I should go in, I spoke to a midwife who said that baby's are well-cushioned and protected and that unless I stopped feeling my baby's movements or had any bleeding not to go in and that I would be ok . Since the fall I have felt my baby move like normal and I haven't had any bleeding so do you think my baby will be ok? With being due in 3 weeks I have just worried. I wondered if anyone else had ever done the same or similar?

I am 37 weeks this Thursday!

Anyway. Baby will be absolutely fine. It's really yourself and your bones etc which are in danger from falls because you are so much heavier than usual.

Good luck with birth!

Poor you! I took a tumble down a few of our stairs at 37 weeks and badly sprained both ankles. I was getting up to got to the loo in the night. Baby was absolutely fine, gave DH the fright of his life. Not the kind of middle of the night hospital dash we had in mind at that stage!

I'm sure your baby will be fine but just keep an eye on those movements. And take things easy!
