Hospital nightdresses? What to buy?

Can anyone recommend which nightdresses to get for hospital for labour/post labour? I was thinking about getting a couple with strappy toos and a couple with button down tops for breastfeeding. I'm a size 18 normally so want to get something thats baggy.

Labour, go for cheap as it will most likely get wrecked.
Post labour anything that provides good access for BF (if that's what you are planning) and that you are comfy in will do. I would also consider dark colours in case of leaks.
I'm a size 20/22 and am planning front opening T shirt type (for labour), one mothercare strappy set, wrap dress type nighty, and pyjamas with black trousers.

I've gone for a shirt one so it's got buttons all the way down from primark I went for a 18-20 and it's a generous size and it was only 7 pound. It wasnt maternity though just in the normal pj bit. Hope that helps :)

Same as aylish . Got a button down pyjama shirt and mine was from primark .. Super cheap and then got chucked in the bin!

I just wore a vest and a hospital gown for labour; it's boiling in those labour ward rooms.

For afterwards I just got cheap, dark Primark nighties. Chucked in the bin afterwards. Same for the granny pants, don't bother with disposables - cheap black granny pants from Tesco, chucked in the bin after.

My mum gave birth to my sister in a BHS nightie, with tshirt sleeves and buttons down the middle. 26 years late she's still wearing it :)

Primark for both! They have loads of over sized t-shirt type nighties for labour (eugh) and front opening items for BF.

Have lots of vests for when you go home (BF)

That's what I did last time around and threw all in the bin after a few weeks.

LOL @ giant black Granny pants from tesco, must get some of those too. Our labour trolleys aren't the most glamorous Blush

I got mine from primark. Wasn't maternity, and didn't even need to get a size bigger. Has buttons down front and still wear it. Also got a maternity one from m&s online
