1st baby, rumblings week before, but definite movement the day after the 20w scan (at about 19.5w).

redexpat · 17/05/2014 18:02

It felt like a fart bubble, only inside. Most odd. Think it was just before 20 week scan.

turdfairynomore · 17/05/2014 18:07

About 18 weeks with DD but v v occasionally as early as 13weeks with DS-I remember being at a theatre in front row of "gods" so had to lean forward to see as seat was far back from rail. It must have been the cramped position and the fact that I knew what that dull "bubbles of oil popping on the inside of my abdomen"sensation was this time!

redandchecker · 17/05/2014 19:03

I've felt flutters from 14w, led on my tummy yesterday and definitely got a stronger movement now 17w - second baby.

Don't think I felt DS until after 20 weeks scan

ClaretAndBlue30 · 17/05/2014 20:57

Flutters at about 16 weeks, progressed to the occasional kick at about 17 weeks...more regular jabs from inside and outside now at 19+2 (strongest when lying on my back). Dh felt the baby kick for the first time at about 18+5 Smile.

eepie · 17/05/2014 21:12

Felt her at 14 weeks - little tiny sensations like popcorn popping from the inside of my belly. Got steadily stronger and more obviously from then onwards.

Boogles91 · 17/05/2014 21:29

13 wks...started off lil flutters and like tiny lil popping sensations jus below bikini line then as the weeks went by got stronger and more prominent :) now i get elbows and legs stikin out here nd there hehe :D x

Gracie17 · 17/05/2014 21:34

17 weeks but I didn't know what it was until about 19 weeks.

squizita · 17/05/2014 22:18

About 17 weeks. Was surrounded by people pulling a face saying I should have felt stuff by 12 Hmm but the books and MW/Docs say usually it's 16-22 weeks, not to worry till after 24 if you haven't felt anything.

hartmel · 18/05/2014 04:21

First- fluttering around 15 weeks. And kicks at 19 weeks
Second- at 10 weeks (during scan Grin) but they slowed down and started again at 15 weeks and kicks at 17 weeks..

Actually I just asked my husband to give me a neck massage and wanted to lie down on my bump, no way baby just started to kick around, so had to sit upright.. Grin

humblebumble · 18/05/2014 04:23

around 22 weeks before that nothing

Roxie85 · 18/05/2014 06:50

Felt some butterflies at about 17-18 weeks but nothing definite until 23-24 weeks.
Anterior placenta for me though so didnt feel too much movement really.

splendide · 18/05/2014 07:10

Reassuring to read that late is ok. I'm 19 weeks and nothing (first baby) was beginning to worry.

Darksideofthemoon88 · 18/05/2014 08:36

20+5 - little madam took her time to make her presence felt and I was beside myself! I have an anterior placenta though, and that can mean it takes longer to feel movements - do you?

Yika · 18/05/2014 08:37

18 weeks, and it was a definite kick. A magic moment!

MoominAndMiniMoom · 18/05/2014 21:41

22 weeks here! Boxing Day morning last year.

Baxter2014 · 19/05/2014 14:36

15+5 here and have felt little flutters for the past 3 days. can't quite believe I am feeling them this early but its quite a distinctive feeling and it tickles...makes me smile every time Grin

Ludways · 19/05/2014 14:38

24 weeks with dc1, I has very strong stomach muscles back then and apparently that means you feel them later, by dc2 my stomach muscles were shot to shit already so it was about 17 weeks, lol

ChicaMomma · 19/05/2014 15:09

it came on slowly like rumbling from about 18 weeks, full on kicks from about 20. dont find it a bit magic at all though, just weird!!!!!!

Sussex31 · 19/05/2014 16:51

20 weeks exactly with anterior placenta

flipflopsonfifthavenue · 19/05/2014 18:53

23/24 weeks with first baby - had anterior placenta so movements somewhat cushioned, and was slightly overweight

now 15wks with DC2 and I think I've felt the first couple of flutters last week or so. However, placenta anterior again and a LOT MORE overweight this time, so who knows?? ;)

Missingcaffeine · 20/05/2014 08:16

21+6. Anterior placenta. First baby. Fairly fit - did a lot of exercise pre-pregnancy. Normal weight for height - about size 12.
