exposure to pneumonia during early pregnancy

Hi all
I just found our two days ago that I'm pregnant with my first baby - only 5 weeks so nobody apart from husband knows. Someone I work with has just been diagnosed with pneumonia but is insisting on coming into the office. Does anyone know if exposure to pneumonia throughout the first trimester is a risk?
Thanks :)

I'm surprised that someone with pneumonia is feeling well enough to e able to irk.

If you catch it, then if can be a more severe illness during pg, but I don't think it's directly hostile to the baby.

With above... Surprised they can walk about so freely, must be a milder case maybe?

Thanks both. Yes I'm surprised too but he is insistent he is ok to come in. From what I can find out Farahilda is right and it's not dangerous for unborn baby but might be a worse case to catch it while pg - think it'll be fine bit I just got a bit worried as it's too early to tell colleagues so couldn't just outright ask!
