Travelling when 30 weeks pregnant with twins

I've recently found out we're expecting twins in early November! Being a twin myself it was a bit of a shock, but it's very special.
Besides getting to groups with having two babies and logistics around that, we had also already booked a family holiday driving down to the south of France in early September. I would be 30 weeks going into 31 weeks. I know everyone and every pregnancy is different, but does anyone have experience of travelling that length if time/distance at that stage when pregnant with twins?! I'm not so concerned about having the babies there as I used to live near to where we are going, it's more the travel...
Appreciate any insight. I will of course be seeing the midwife and consultant to speak to them about it.

How are you planning on getting there? Im 30+1 with just the one and I really wouldn't fancy traveling more than necessary right now.

Firstly...congratulations!
Secondly, I don't have any experience re twins however I am 31 weeks with one baby & though I've had a very straightforward pregnancy with no complaints, at this stage I couldn't go on a long road trip anywhere...the thought of sitting in a car for more than an hour or two makes me feel uncomfortable just thinking about it!
On average I'd say I need a wee about once an hour and being in a sitting position is uncomfortable. I get pain in my ribs which can only be relieved by standing or lying totally flat.
Walking any sort of distance is getting quite difficult for me too.

Also bear in mind that though you say giving birth at your destination wouldn't be a problem, you'd need to take all your hospital bag gear with you in case which will be quite a lot of stuff on top of your normal stuff.
Not saying it can't be done but I wouldn't underestimate how uncomfortable you are likely to be at that stage.

You would need check that your insurance covered you giving birth abroad, and also what the situation would be with regard to getting your babies passports /papers to bring them home, should that happen.
